Chapter 54 - Childish
“Wu…” Before Song Xiao could blush, His Majesty the emperor had taken hold of his lifeline. The low moans that spilled from his mouth were cut off by the lips and teeth of the person who was sticking to him.
Because Song Xiao’s body used to be in bad condition, it was relatively weaker. The emperor had given him all sorts of tasty supplements this year, and Song Xiao finally became healthy. The happiness in Yu Tang’s heart was greater than what Song Xiao felt about his own body.
It was like the feeling of discovering that a fruit tree which belonged to him had turned yellow and withered in the care of some ignorant person, and which was unable to bear fruit when it was harvest season. Yu Tang snatched it back to meticulously care for it himself, watering and fertilizing it every day, kissing and touching it… This little sapling had been nurtured until it finally flourished and had now blossomed.
“Mn…” A slender hand wandered over Song Xiao’s body. A youngster’s body was too sensitive, and Song Xiao was unable to bear it as his body shivered lightly.
Yu Tang thought he was scared, so he bit an ear and softly coaxed him. “I won’t do it all the way, don’t be scared.”
Song Xiao pulled back and tilted his head to look at Yu Tang. His deep and dark eyes were filled with tenderness, and Song Xiao couldn’t help smiling. It was really wonderful to be able to grow up with Yu Tang in this life.
Seeing that Song Xiao wasn’t resisting, Yu Tang was instantly even happier, and teased him as he said in his ear, “When you were growing up in your last life, did you use your left or right hand, hm?”
Song Xiao couldn’t bear this sort of teasing, and his entire face flushed. He blushed from his ears all the way down to his neck. “Don’t… don’t remember anymore… wu…”
“At that time, zhen used his right hand,” Yu Tang shamelessly announced. “Now, I’ll use this hand on you.”
“En…” Song Xiao couldn’t help moaning. Not to be outdone, he also stretched out one wicked hand toward the emperor.
Early in the morning on Yu Tang’s eighteenth birthday, it was tranquil and beautiful. The sea waves outside crashed along the coast, and the fiery sun smiled brightly where the sea and sky met. Waking up was doomed to be a complicated and endless process.
The road to getting up was long and full of obstacles. The waves crashed, and the two boys cherished their youth well.
At 8:00am on the dot, Dugu An sat in the dining room, seriously eating each pan-fried dumpling one mouthful at a time, but his two masters weren’t up yet.
“Should we call them to get up and eat something, then let them go back to sleep?” The auntie responsible for cooking was a little worried. When children were at the development stage, it wasn’t good for them to not eat breakfast.
“Wait a while longer,” Dugu An said in dissuasion, hinting that the maids shouldn’t disturb them. He would call for them in a while.
After the loyal secret guard polished off a plate of pan-fried dumplings, he stood up and flashed upstairs. Ever since he transmigrated into a child, he had diligently cultivated his inner strength, and his martial arts from back then were all here. Naturally, he had sharp ears and keen eyes. When he was ten steps away from the emperor’s master bedroom, he paused in his footsteps, then turned and walked away.
“An shaoye, didn’t you go call for them?” the young lady sweeping the stairs asked him inquisitively.
Without a word, Dugu An went downstairs, dragging the young lady along with him.
The two of them finally got up when it was almost time for lunch, and went out to play in the water in a refreshed manner.
Taking advantage of the fact that the sun wasn’t too hot yet, they jumped into the water in their swimming trunks for a swim. When it got hotter, they set up a beach umbrella and deck chairs, and drank iced lemonade.
As a child, Yu Tang had come here every summer with his parents. Sometimes, they would bring the children of relatives or friends. His Majesty the emperor, who had already regained the memories of his past life, avoided the children with distaste as he watched them squat on the beach and build sandcastles.
“Tangtang, go build sandcastles with your little cousin ba.” Mother Yu pushed Yu Tang, who was wearing yellow chick swimming trunks, forward.
“Childish.” Little Yu Tang snorted coldly and turned around to leave, the small yellow chicks on his buttocks not deigning to raise their heads.
Song Xiao drank his lemonade and dozed off. When he opened his eyes, he saw His Majesty the emperor crouched on the beach and waving at him. Standing up and walking over, he saw Yu Tang childishly digging a hole in the sand. “Go dig over there; let’s make a tunnel.”
Moistened by seawater, the sand had become solid, and was piled into a hill on the beach. Yu Tang dug and patted the sand, having dug out a long tunnel on one side of the ‘hill’ already. Putting his arm in the enclosed tunnel was very soothing.
The corner of Song Xiao’s lips turned up. Seeing the emperor’s excited appearance, it wasn’t nice to dampen his spirits, so he squatted on the other side and began to dig. His fingers dug into the clammy sand, and dug away bit by bit. After digging for less than an arm’s distance, he felt the sand before him bulge.
Startled, Song Xiao even thought that he had dug out something that was alive. Just as he was about to pull his hand back, it was firmly caught by a large hand that suddenly pushed out. “Caught you!” Yu Tang laughed happily. “You’re caught, so now you’re my wife!”
In the sand digging game, whoever dug through first and caught the other person would have the other as their bride. Delighted, Yu Tang went around the hill and hugged Song Xiao with sandy arms, wanting to kissy kiss kiss.
No matter how old a man was, in front of their beloved, they would always be childish.
The two of them passed their days at the seaside villa like it was a honeymoon. During the day, Yu Tang played with the water and sand; Song Xiao helped him put on sunscreen, then went to the side to read his book. At night, they had a barbeque by the sea, with fresh seafood and beer. His Majesty the emperor, who was finally an adult, proudly drank his beer, while the underaged Song Xiao and Dugu An could only drink cola.
The days of play were very fun, but Song Xiao still felt a little awkward about the entrance exam.
He was studying humanities, so he had to take social sciences in the US entrance exam. The problem was that American humanities and social sciences were about the country, and the questions were very hard. It was on a completely different level compared with science subjects. Even if Song Xiao was a heavenly genius with a photographic memory, it was impossible for him to learn all of it in a month.
Bracing himself, he went to take the exam. Yu Tang scored full marks in all his subjects, and he passed without a hitch. Song Xiao’s results weren’t as good, and he couldn’t come out on top over those who had already been preparing for a long time.
Seeing his empress’s frown, Yu Tang regretted pressing him to take the exam. He was too inconsiderate, thinking that it was more than enough for Song Xiao to study for a month given his photographic memory; he had forgotten that there was an enormous difference between humanities and science.
“It’s fine. When you take the entrance examination, you will continue to be the top scholar,” Yu Tang stiffly comforted him.
His Majesty the emperor’s comfort couldn’t alleviate the immense pressure of their third year. Entering their third year, the atmosphere in class turned heavy. The form teacher stuck a countdown to the entrance exam on the blackboard. It was extremely frightening to look at, as if it were the countdown to the end of their lives.
Song Zicheng was worried that his son would be held back in his third year, so he wanted to rent an apartment close to the school and have Auntie Chen take care of Song Xiao, but Song Xiao refused.
“I’m in the same dorm as Yu Tang; I can ask him math questions,” Song Xiao said a little guiltily. Sleeping with His Majesty the emperor, there was absolutely no hope of getting any studying done. When the lights went out, he was dragged to bed.
Seeing how busy Song Xiao was with his studies, Yu Tang didn’t dare to really sleep with his wife, even though his heart itched every day. He only touched Song Xiao’s hands and lips every now and then to satisfy his cravings.
Yu Tang had submitted his applications for a few universities in the US. Because his grades were excellent, and he had experience in business management, the American universities welcomed him; practically all of them were willing to accept him. In the end, Yu Tang picked Halun University.
Halun University was the best university in the US in terms of overall strength: Their economy major, finance major, and law major, were top in the world. Most importantly, Imperial University had an exchange program with this school, so Song Xiao could also attend it.
For a high school student to be accepted by Halun University was a big deal in China, and the news media fell over each other in their eagerness to report it. A bestselling author had even contacted the school with the intent of writing a book titled ‘Halun Boy’ on Yu Tang, but was rejected by the principal without hesitation. What a joke – given Yu Tang’s identity, they didn’t even want anyone to know about him, much less hype him up so wantonly.
“My God, the president daren is already a male god beyond our reach,” Song Xiao’s deskmate lay over her table and moaned feebly.
Because Yu Tang had already been accepted by a foreign university, he didn’t need to take the entrance exam. He was clearly a third-year student, but was the idlest person in the entire school. As a result, he still retained the title of the student union president, and he was still the so-called “man who holds the lifeline of the entire school in his hand”.
Song Xiao looked at the girls around him who appeared to agree with his deskmate, and he silently lowered his head. Just then, there was a scream in the classroom, which was followed by even more screams.
Song Xiao lifted his head and saw the male god president daren standing on the dais in Song Xiao’s classroom, school bag in one hand.
“Everyone knows Yu Tang ba.” The humanities class teacher beamed while making the introductions. “Because he’s about to go to the US, he wants to understand more about our country’s culture and customs, so he came to visit our humanities class.”
Before leaving their homeland, such students would realize that they had a deep affection for the land; universally common science subjects couldn’t replace the charm of 5000 years of this great country’s culture.
“God, he’s walking over here…” Song Xiao’s deskmate held her breath, then saw the incredibly handsome president slowly walk to stand in front of her.
“Can I sit here?” His deep and melodious voice made the hairs stand up all over one’s body.
“Yes, yes!” Before his deskmate could speak, the girls surrounding them were all nodding their heads. By the time Song Xiao’s deskmate reacted, president daren had already taken her seat and become Song Xiao’s new deskmate.
Song Xiao looked at Yu Tang, who was taking out a history book very properly, and quietly drew an octopus in his notebook.
