Chapter 913
This wedding gown was the one Evelyn forced her to design by using Hayden's life as leverage.
Although it was designed for her nemesis, the design was intricate, generous, and stunning.
Nicole couldn't help but smile because she didn't expect Colton would be so meticulous.
After changing into the wedding gown, she discovered it was unexpectedly fitting. It hugged her figure
perfectly.
The discovery surprised her because couture like this required the wearer's measurements. Colton
knew of her measurements without doing anything.
Before Nicole could think any further, she was pinned onto the chair by the makeup artist and stylist,
who began to work their magic.
Since Nicole had rested for two hours, she was much more energetic and seemed less sluggish than
this morning.
The makeup applied to her face was very intricate, and the makeup artist kept praising Nicole while

applying the makeup products onto her face, "Miss Anderson, your skin condition is near perfect, so
you don't need extravagant makeup. All you need is a little touch-up, and you'll look stunning."
Smiling, Nicole thought of it as flattery and replied, "Thank you."
It was already past 2.00PM when everything was done. The Gardners had sent over a limousine, and
Nicole slowly got into the limo with someone helping her with her long dress.
As the interior had been renovated, the large carriage had only four seats. All the seats were spaced
quite far from each other, which made them seem very spacious.
On the seat in the right corner was Colton. He wore an ironed suit with his long legs crossed while
leisurely leaning against the seat.
A hint of surprise flashed across his eyes when he saw Nicole opening the door and entering the car.
Since the limo was tall, there was enough space for someone to stand up, so Colton rose to his feet
and grabbed Nicole's hand.
Frowning, Nicole was about to pull her hand away but found it being tightly held by Colton.

In his deep voice, he teased, "What's the matter, darling? Won't you let me escort you?"
The way he called Nicole "darling" made her feel inexplicably tingly while her cheeks turned abnormally
pink. She quickly entered the vehicle and withdrew her hand as though she had touched something
hot.
Colton watched her being shy and smiled slightly while staring straight at her.
The door was closed from the outside, and since the inside carriage and driver's seat weren't in the
same space, only Nicole and Colton were left in the huge space.
Nicole was wearing the taunt wedding gown. She wasn't sure if it was because they were the only ones
in the space that her heart felt all tensed up.
Feeling nervous, she hugged both her arms around her body.
In the meantime, Colton seemed to have noticed her nervousness and grabbed her hand. Then, he
used his broad palm to caress hers while assuring her in a raspy voice, "Don't be nervous. I'm here."
Nicole rolled her eyes at him while silently retorting, It's you that makes me nervous.

However, she didn't say that aloud. Instead, she looked down and said nothing.
Seeing that Nicole wasn't speaking, Colton didn't force her and leaned against his seat. He closed his
eyes and rested.
At that moment, the carriage was so quiet that Nicole could clearly hear their breathing even while her
eyes were closed.
When the car stopped, Nicole slowly opened her eyes and heard someone calling out politely from
outside.
"President Gardner, Miss Anderson, I'm going to open the door now."
"Go ahead," Colton spoke up, and the door was immediately opened.
Just as Nicole was about to descend the limo, Colton suddenly pulled her from behind, and before she
could react, he picked her up with both hands before getting down from the vehicle.
Nicole was slightly speechless as she felt there was no need to carry her as her arms and legs were
working fine. Moreover, the weight of the wedding gown must have added to her weight. Doesn't Colton
find me heavy?
