She kissed her son and spoke in a low voice, "Charles, will you forget me?"

Obviously, the child didn't understand what she said.He only felt that Caroline's kiss made his cheeks
tickle.He also liked this kind of touch, so he giggled.

Caroline's eyes turned red at the sight of her cute son, she wanted to cry but she tried to make herself
laugh.She looked at her son's innocent face and asked, "Charles, do you think Dad will be fine?"

The baby didn't react, he was just playing with the toy in his hand.

"I hope he’s fine." Caroline said.

Outside, Marisa passed by nursery.When she heard those words, her eyes suddenly turned red.She
was touched by Caroline's words.

For the past few years, she had watched her boss suffered like this.

It was rare for him to have a woman by his side.

Although this woman seemed to have a bad reputation outside, she clearly saw that Caroline was a
good woman, kind-hearted and meticulous in taking care of her baby.

Now, despite the fact that her husband was chasing her away, Caroline was still worried about his
health.

Not long after, he returned to man's bedroom and said without hesitation, "It's getting worse."

When the man in bed heard this, he didn't seemed surprise.

He just said, "How much time do I have?"

"At most half a year"

Dr.Leo Wilson said and continued, "But that's good.Your son is here, and your family has a successor."

"Yes."

The man replied, "Alright, now I know.You can go."

"Are you still unwilling to go out for a treatment?"

Dr.Wilson asked.

"Even if I go out, the result will still be the same, right?"

The man's tone was calm as if he was talking about something that had nothing to do with him.

"You've been lying here, aren't you just waiting to die?"

Dr.Wilson obviously knew him well, so he spoke impolitely.

"Whether I go out or not, I will still die anytime soon.So what's the difference?" The man raised his
voice.

"Alright, alright.I'll stop convincing you now."



Dr. Wilson said helplessly, "But, I will always tell you this, what if there is a miracle?"

"We've known each other for more than 20 years.I'm 28 this year and I've already passed the age of
expecting miracles.If there is really a miracle, then my father .."" the man said calmly and didn't finished
his sentence.

"Then what will you do?"

The doctor changed the subject, "How about that woman and your son?"

"I will hire the best teacher to nurture my son.As for her .."

The man slightly paused and continued, "I will let her live the rest of her life without worrying about food
and clothing."

"I can say just now that she cares about you."

Dr.Wilson patted the man on his shoulder and said, "Actually, you still have half a year.Why don't you
try a relationship?"

When the man heard this, he sneered and said, "It's not like what you said"

"You have this disease for so many years.Now, I'll ask you, have you ever enjoyed a day of your life?"

Dr.Wilson was a bit mad, he was really concerned with the man.

"You're twenty-eight, not eighty-eight.Why don't you take the liberty to be happy till the end of your life?"

"I'm used to it."

The man didn't seem to care at all, "Time has no meaning nor difference to me."



"Alright, alright, alright.You can see through the mortal world."

Dr.Wilson got up and was about to leave, "If you feel something wrong with your body, remember to call
me.We've known each other for so many years and you know that I am always willing to help you until
your last breath”

"Alright" The man replied.

Dr.Wilson opened the door and left.
