Recently, Kathy almost cooked every night, but when Joseph came back tonight, the house was empty.

“I’m not losing my temper. Joseph, you’ve been lying to me all the time. Why did you help Herbert get
off the hook? Why?”

Joseph did not answer. He took her all the way out. Then they saw Billy standing at the top of the
stairs.

He had followed Kathy to the apartment. When seeing that Kathy was pulled by Joseph, he glowered at
him.

“Joseph, let go of Kathy.” Billy stopped him.
