Emmett had heard that Clarence was arrogant long ago. He didn’t take it to heart. He said, “Mr.
Conrad, we met each other at a business cocktail party. Just once. I’m not surprised that you don’t
remember me.”



Clarence wasn’t in the mood to continue talking to him. He was about to walk forward but was stopped
by Emmett again.
