Chapter 405 The Massacre Starts

Spirit Eyes Demon King’s voice boomed like thunder and he said: “Are the heads of the nine great sects a cowardly group? Since you’ve sent a group of young disciples here to die, if you are not to show up, the so-called future of the Human Tribe will be obliterated just like that.”
Before he had finished his words…
Two rays of intense silver light shot out from both of his eyes and darted in the direction of Little Bodhisattva, Lei Tingchan.
Lei Tingchan closed her eyes again, a Buddhist halo enveloping her. There was also the two Buddhist tao that clung on to her body and there was the combat strength on her that made Spirit Eyes Demon King feel slightly threatened and thus he made a pre-emptive strike, targeting her as his enemy.
“Boom!”
“Boom! Boom! Boom!”
A terrible power crashed onto Lei Tingchan’s protective Buddhist halo and even though it was unable to pierce through, it sent her falling down from the sky with her protective cover. A hole over 10 meters deep in the ground appeared in the seat where Lei Tingchan was seated and an unlimited amount of demonic aura emanated in the air.
Ding Hao stopped hesitating at this instant.
Both his hands grasped the empty air and the rusted sword and Dragon Shape Blade appeared in his hands. Heaven Fire and Hell Ice qi erupted at the same time and Ding Hao’s body was half in permafrost and half on fire. He took out his saber sword and etched out the words “Ten Steps to Killing a Person, and Not Giving Way for a Thousand Miles”. As soon as the ten words had appeared, a bone-piercing demonic aura killing intent emanated in the air and leaped in the direction of Spirit Eyes Demon King.
Ding Hao’s body was like lightning and issued attacks at the speed of the ten-word inscriptions.
“Clang!”
Spirit Eyes Demon King turned the demonic aura into a slender and dark rapier. With a brandishing of the rapier before his chest, he blocked Ding Hao’s move.
“Boom!”
The powers of both parties erupted. Ding Hao was sent flying backward for more than 10 meters away while Spirit Eyes Demon King was only slightly shaken.
Ding Hao’s body leaped and reappeared by Spirit Eyes Demon King’s side. With a brandishing of his saber sword, he produced two moves respectively, the “Lightning-Chasing Central Swordsmanship” and “Wind Lightning Saber”. The techniques were different from each other; an orange-colored heavenly fire and pure silver Hell Ice qi clung to each other and produced a mystical vital force. Mysterious ice flakes flew in the air while heavenly fire shot ablaze, producing a mysterious phenomenon.
Ding Hao’s techniques were pronounced in critical hits and he cast a long vestigial shadow in the empty air, leaving behind a welcoming blaze. The rapier in Spirit Eyes Demon King’s hands flashed and was as if flying- every single blow could possibly hit Ding Hao’s body- and every blow could be an illusion that Ding Hao had left behind in his quick moves.
In the empty air, the sound of weapons sounded like thunder and the blinding spark appeared shining on and off in the accumulated violent energy. It shone such that even Ding Hao and Spirit Eyes Demon King’s faces could not be visibly clear and it vanished soon after appearing like a ghost.
At this moment, there was a light chiding.
There was a plume of golden Buddhist halo that shot up into the sky from under the earth and Little Bodhisattva Lei Tingchan was like a shooting star that had shot out from under the earth. Her hands held a jade handle from a horsetail duster and with a flick of her wrist; a meter long’s white strange of silver perked up. In a short period of time, the whole horsetail duster transformed into something like a long sword. It shone with a golden light and was directed at Spirit Eyes Demon King.
Fate Arising Divine Son and Fate Arising Saintess who had been watching the battle also joined in.
The terrible battle between the young generation of martial arts experts from Snow Province and the Demon Kings had finally started.
Demonic aura covered the air and finally enveloped the hundreds of miles within the surroundings of Jing Lake. Civilians and ordinary martial artists could only wait, their hearts beating fast, for the start of the battle. They could only cower in the protective defense inscriptions which the various sects had put up.
Ding Hao unleashed the power of Saintly Being of Saber and Sword, not hiding Hell Ice and Heaven Fire qi. The qi in his body started to rage with intensity and had almost reached spinning a hundred times per second. His was at such a high speed that it had surpassed that of Little Bodhisattva, Fate Arising Divine Son, and others. He had absorbed almost all of the attention of Spirit Eyes Demon King alone.
Ding Hao, who had entered into the mood of the battle, felt his fighting desire increase more and more.
The sword technique and the saber technique, two sets of techniques which were otherwise merely middle in human rank, had in his hands exploded with a terrifying force. Who knew how many times the demonic aura rapier had broken in the hands of Divine Eyes Demon King? With the power of this Demon King, the weapon which had been produced by the terrifying demonic aura could only withstand three of Ding Hao’s blows before getting completely destroyed by the Heaven Fire or Hell Ice.
As the battle raged on, Ding Hao’s grasp of the battle rhythm increased to a terrifying level.
His grasp of his movements and the use of them had reached a mystifying level.
Observing this phenomenon, the rest of the martial arts experts could not help but feel jealous in their hearts. For someone like Ding Hao, he was simply a prodigy in battle at birth. And the moment he had entered the state of battle, even if he had met with an opponent who was of the same rank, the opponent would not have been able to resist Ding Hao’s normal blows. There had been ten of such prodigies in the history of Snow Province and all of them liked to massacre.
Even such a powerhouse as Spirit Eyes Demon King had become more and more taken aback.
At the start, Ding Hao had only given blows that were slightly more powerful and as the battle went on, the pressure that this martial artist from the younger generation had exerted on the Demon King had increased. Even though on the realm of strength this youngster was not on par with the Demon King, but in terms of the grasp of techniques and the control of rhythm, including an understanding of advances and retreats, Ding Hao was wholly on par with the Demon King.
And what was even more terrifying was that Spirit Eyes Demon King could keenly feel that Ding Hao was rapidly improving in the battle. As time gradually passed, the skills and techniques which Spirit Eyes Demon King had used on Ding Hao, which used to be a threat to Ding Hao, was slowly losing their effect.
It was a very strange feeling.
Almost every technique that was used on Ding Hao lost much of their effect on the second blow.
“The power of this lad is simply too terrifying. If he is truly let to grow, who in the future, apart from the Great Sage will be able to counter his power? If it were to be in the past, I would not have allowed him to grow- instead, I would kill him off, to kill the sprouts of this genius. But, Ding Hao does owe the Great Sage a favor and the Great Sage had ordered repeatedly not to harm this lad. Sigh, who knows if the Great Sage’s favor towards Ding Hao is a blessing or a curse to the Demon Tribe?”
Spirit Eyes Demon King’s heart heaved.
In the short period when he was distracted, the rusted sword in Ding Hao’s right hand found its opportunity. The gleaming sword pierced through his fringe and broke a few tufts of hair.
This was the first instance in the battle when harm had been inflicted on Spirit Eyes Demon King.
“There’s no chance for you to drag things anymore. The massacre starts now!” Spirit Eyes Demon King was counting the seconds and he had made the decision to avoid the encirclement of several young top player experts. With a slight shiver of his body, his body started to swell and the cloak on his body started to swell and expand as well, transforming into a huge and strange creature. In the blink of an eye, it was even more exaggerating than the One Legged Ox Demon King whose height reached 100 feet. Its body was black and dark-feathered, gleaming with a golden light like that of the mystical iron deity.
