The woman tried several times to pull the money from Ning Shu’s grip but couldn’t. She looked at Ning Shu in confusion.
Ning Shu’s heart was filled with pain, but finally, she let go, watching as the woman put away the money.
“Make sure to get him drawing paper. As long as he has that, he’ll stay quiet.”
Ning Shu handed her her bundle. “There’s some drawing paper in here, but if it runs out, please buy more.”
“Big Sis…” Yi Xiaodong said tearfully, looking at Ning Shu. “Are you going to… like Mom?”
Ning Shu immediately understood his meaning and comforted him. “No, Big Sis won’t leave you.”
“Don’t worry, Big Sis still needs to help you put on an art exhibition one day. But right now, I have something to take care of, so I can’t bring you along,” Ning Shu said, hugging him tightly.
