Chapter 393: Don’t Do It Again
Mo Rao didn’t dwell on his intentions. The next day was the day of filming for ‘Butterfly Fragrance’.
Early in the morning, Mo Rao arrived at the filming set.
She was the first actress to arrive. The moment he saw her, Jia Li smiled and welcomed her. “You’re a responsible good actress. You even arrived early.”
Mo Rao smiled. “I don’t want to waste the production team’s time.”
Jia Li hated actors who were always late. Hearing Mo Rao’s words, he was even more satisfied with her.
“By the way, don’t take Fu Ying’s incident to heart. I know him. He wouldn’t do such a thing.” Jia Li was worried that Mo Rao would be prejudiced against Fu Ying and took the opportunity to put in a few words for his good buddy.
Mo Rao froze, but then she quickly explained, “It’s okay, I don’t care. What he did after that has nothing to do with me.”
Seeing Mo Rao’s cold attitude, Jia Li felt a little awkward. “That’s right. You’re already divorced…”
“Alright, alright. Hurry up and get your makeup done. The other actors will be here soon. I heard that you have a good relationship with Tong Yue and Qin Yan. I hope the filming can progress smoothly.” Jia Li changed the topic and brought Mo Rao to the dressing room.
Mo Rao played a simple small town girl in this movie. Her makeup was very light and she had two braids, making her look very innocent.
“Sister Mo Rao! Your style is too beautiful!” Tong Yue was stunned when she saw Mo Rao’s appearance.
In the past, Mo Rao had always looked very aloof and elegant. This was the first time she had seen Mo Rao look so demure and innocent.
Mo Rao looked at herself in the mirror and also felt that this style suited her, so she smiled. “Thank you. I’ve never tried out such an innocent style.”
If it were a few years ago, Mo Rao would still be able to maintain the innocent vibe of a young girl. However, ever since the divorce, it was very difficult for Mo Rao to recover her previous state.
For some things, what was lost could never be recovered.
“Chen Xiang! Chen Xiang!”
“Chen Xiang, I love you!!”
…
Mo Rao was chatting with Tong Yue when a scream suddenly came from outside the door.
“Looks like Chen Xiang is here.” Tong Yue looked outside the door enviously. “Chen Xiang has so many fans…”
Chen Xiang was the second female lead in this movie. She debuted from a talent show and had a large fan base.
Mo Rao had also heard of Chen Xiang before. Her public image was that of a pure and kind-hearted girl, which matched the image of the second female lead.
The bad guy in this movie was Tong Yue, the third female lead.
Chen Xiang, who was wearing a white dress and sunglasses, walked into the dressing room. Jia Li complained, “Miss Chen, can you come earlier in the future? You’re already so late. The other actors are almost done getting their makeup applied.”
Chen Xiang blinked at Jia Li and said coquettishly, “Director, I was filming until very late last night and accidentally overslept today! I definitely won’t be late in the future. Don’t worry.”
Facing her coquettish demeanor, Jia Li couldn’t take it anymore. He waved his hand and said, “Forget it, forget it. Don’t be late again.”
As soon as Jia Li turned around, Chen Xiang immediately retracted the smile on her face and sat beside Mo Rao’s seat.
“Hello, I’m Mo Rao.” Mo Rao took the initiative to greet Chen Xiang.
Chen Xiang sized up Mo Rao and said aloofly, “Hello, I’m Chen Xiang.”
“I really didn’t expect you to get the female lead role. I thought I would be the female lead,” Chen Xiang said indignantly.
Mo Rao only smiled and didn’t answer her.
She vaguely felt that this alleged innocent girl might not be that easy to get along with.
“You’re hurting me!” Amidst the silence, Chen Xiang suddenly screamed, startling Mo Rao.
The hairstylist hurriedly apologized. “I-I’m sorry. I’ll be gentler.”
“How can someone like you be a hairdresser?! Don’t you know that it hurts?!” Chen Xiang slapped the developer’s hand and scolded angrily, “I don’t want you to do my hair anymore! Get lost!”
The hairstylist was in a difficult position and stammered, “The other hairstylists aren’t around. I’m the only one here today…”
