My Wife Spoils Me Too Much Chapter 50

Chapter 50

————————————
Tang Tang entered the bedroom and took out her needle and thread. Then she went to find a set of Xiao Zhuo’s clothes so that Wen Nuo could wear it.
The two children’s height was similar. However, Ji Xiao Zhuo’s clothes were too baggy on Wen Nuo. Although Ji Xiao Zhuo was really chubby, the clothing was also too loose because Wen Nuo was too thin.
Ji Xiao Zhuo compared his arm to Wen Nuo’s arm. Then he heavily told her, “Nuo Nuo, you need to gain some meat, oh. Girls that are too thin will fall sick just like mummy.”
Immediately, Wen Nuo nodded.
Tang Tang smiled as she poked Ji Xiao Zhuo’s head. After that, she altered the clothes according to the little girl’s size so they would fit her better. The clothes were ready within an hour and Tang Tang got the little girl to change clothes.
The little girl stared at her new clothes without blinking. She carefully jumped a little and smiled widely when she discovered the trousers didn’t fall down. Then she ran and hugged Tang Tang’s leg and rubbed, copying Ji Xiao Zhuo’s move to give her thanks wordlessly.
Tang Tang touched Wen Nuo’s little face, “Alright, our Nuo Nuo has become prettier. Go and let Xiao Zhuo take a look.”
Wen Nuo happily ran out to show Ji Xiao Zhuo. Instantly, Ji Xiao Zhuo put his hands behind and smiled as he praised, “Nuo Nuo, your clothes look really good, hehe… …”
Wen Nuo pointed behind Ji Xiao Zhuo.
Ji Xiao Zhuo chuckled and took out the model behind his back. In a short amount of time, he had already made a mess of the model. It was an example of trying to help but making it worse.
Guiltily, Ji Xiao Zhuo scratched his head.
In contrast, Wen Nuo was not angry at all. She simply took apart the pieces that Ji Xiao Zhuo had messed up and repositioned them in the correct place. Once she was done, Wen Nuo let Xiao Zhuo look at the model to let him know where the pieces should actually go.
But Ji Xiao Zhuo still didn’t understand, and every time he pieced something, it was always incorrect. In the end, he laid down in defeat with his arms and legs spread out and did not move. This was Ji Xiao Zhuo’s first time to be completely defeated when comparing intelligence. Tang Tang sat at the side and watched them quietly and cheerfully as the rest of the afternoon went by.
By the time Ji Yan returned, Wen Nuo had built the majority of the big and complex model. Tang Tang promptly waved at him, “Husband, come and quickly look. Your model is almost done being rebuilt. Our Nuo Nuo is so clever.”
Ji Yan went and crouched down beside her and stroked Wen Nuo’s head with praise and silent encouragement. Then he placed a hand on Tang Tang’s forehead, “En, the fever is gone.”
Smiling sweetly, Tang Tang guaranteed, “I’m really fine now. I guarantee that I won’t get ill next time!”
Ji Yan smiled lightly and asked, “Are you hungry? What do you want to eat tonight?”
After that, Tang Tang realised that she hadn’t made dinner yet. She stood up and ran towards the kitchen, “Ah, I got muddle-headed from the illness. I actually forgot to make dinner!”
Ji Yan had to stop this woman who was never idle, “I told you to rest for a few days and that I’ll do everything. Have you forgotten? I’ll go and do it.”
“Huh?” Tang Tang was surprised as she watched Ji Yan roll up his sleeves as he entered the kitchen. She quickly caught up and asked, “You’re making dinner, ah?”
Ji Yan looked through the fridge, “You don’t believe I can cook, ah?”
Truthfully, Tang Tang didn’t think he could, but she didn’t dare to say that out loud.
“Ah.” Ji Yan took some ingredients out from the fridge before gently pushing Tang Tang out of the kitchen, “Go out first. You can’t breathe in too much smoke and grease at the moment. It will be done soon.”
Tang Tang could only leave obediently. Then she told the children the news that Ji Yan was cooking dinner tonight. While Wen Nuo didn’t give much of a reaction, Ji Xiao Zhuo immediately had a complicated expression and probed, “Mummy, does daddy’s cooking taste good?”
“En ….” Tang Tang thought for a moment, “It should taste good. Your daddy is so clever, so he should do well in something simple like cooking.”
“Oh …” Ji Xiao Zhuo turned back to watch Wen Nuo build the model and didn’t tell his mummy that he once had some fried rice that daddy made. It was a memory that was hard to forget…
One hour later, the kitchen door finally opened, and Ji Yan came out carrying a plate of gyozas.
Tang Tang was confused. She clearly saw him take many ingredients out. Why did it become gyozas?
Ji Yan cleared his throat, “I think gyoza is better for nourishment.”
“Oh.” Tang Tang didn’t have any doubts and saw Ji Yan go back to the kitchen. He was carrying a bin bag when he came out again.
“What are you doing, husband?”
Ji Yan focused on walking to the main door, “I’m going to take the rubbish out. I’ll come back and eat soon.”
Tang Tang thought that Ji Yan was acting quite strangely, but she didn’t think about it deeply. Since Ji Yan had personally cooked tonight, she needed to eat more today, so she displayed her best performance. Usually, Tang Tang could only eat around eight gyozas at most, but today, she ate four in one go. She ate too much and too fast, which made her hiccup. Ji Xiao Zhuo and Wen Nuo also copied her and ate a lot, and like Tang Tang, both of them had hiccups as well.
Tang Tang covered her mouth, embarrassed.
While Ji Yan was quite happy, he also thought that it was better that she ate more.
Tang Tang thought Ji Yan was laughing at her and quietly explained, “The food you made was too delicious…”
Even though he just simply put ready-made gyozas in hot water, Ji Yan was still happy because of Tang Tang’s praise. He decided that he must practice his cooking skills. Since she seemed to be particularly fond of his cooking, he would cook more in the future to fatten her up.
For the first time, the usually self-confident and intelligent Ji Yan experienced defeat. Cooking was different from what he expected, but for a top student like Ji Yan, he faced challenges directly, so he went online and searched for recipes. Ji Yan copied the information and the procedure in a notebook. As he was doing this, he looked like he was doing something serious.
Well, at least Tang Tang thought he was doing some serious work. Tang Tang thoughtfully requested Ji Xiao Zhuo to play quietly to avoid disturbing his daddy.
When it was time for bed, Tang Tang saw Ji Yan hadn’t stopped working. Afraid that he would be too tired, she entered the bathroom to prepare the water for the foot bath and added the medicinal herbs. Then she came out and said, “Husband, it’s getting late now. Let’s get the foot bath done and sleep.” He liked foot baths the most.
Ji Yan exited from his student mode and shut his notebook before putting it in the drawer. Seeing Tang Tang was rolling up her sleeves to massage his feet, he took hold of her hands and said, “You haven’t recovered yet. I’ll do it myself.”
“Massaging is not tiring. Why can’t I even do this? I’m not handicapped.” Tang Tang mumbled. It was clear she wanted to do it.
Ji Yan felt helpless and suddenly asked, “Can you soak in the medicinal water?”
Tang Tang didn’t understand why he asked this question, but she still answered honestly, “I can, ah. Apart from children and the elderly who need to be careful, everyone else can use it. It’s most effective on injured people.”
Ji Yan thought about how Tang Tang had hurt her leg previously. Even though it had healed, her body was injured before. This medicinal water was also suitable for her. Then he simply pushed Tang Tang down onto the stool, took her slippers off, and put her feet into the basin of medicinal water.
“What are you doing, husband?” Tang Tang was caught unprepared and found her feet placed in the foot bath. She blanked.
“Soak your feet, ah. Can’t you also use it?” Ji Yan spoke as he placed his own feet into the water. The two pairs of feet immediately stuck side by side. One was big, and the other was small. One was dark, and the other was pale.
Tang Tang was dumbstruck. It seemed the temperature of Ji Yan’s feet was higher than the water. Her feet were scorching and felt a bit numb.
This was too… Tang Tang wanted to lift her feet, but Ji Yan used his own feet to keep hers down, “Be good and soak your feet. You’re not allowed to keep moving about.”
“I… this isn’t right…” Tang Tang didn’t dare to look at him.
“How is it not right? What’s wrong with a husband and wife soaking their feet together?”
“…” Tang Tang was speechless. It was fine for a normal husband and wife, but was it alright for them as well?
Seeing she was speechless, joy flashed across his eyes. His big feet rested on top of her small feet. It was as if he had forgotten the large basin actually had a lot of room.
Ji Xiao Zhuo looked up from playing Anipop and saw his mummy and daddy were actually having a foot bath together. Wasn’t this something he did with daddy before? Why were they having a foot bath together and leaving him out?
Ji Xiao Zhuo was unhappy and swiftly got off the bed. He didn’t put any shoes on and ran towards the basin to jump into it, “I want a foot bath as well!”
Very quickly, Ji Yan grabbed the little one’s collar to stop him from jumping in. Then he moved him to stand on the side and indifferently said, “Ji Xiao Zhuo, I remember you haven’t completed the military boxing sequences tonight. You can start now.”
“No!” Ji Xiao Zhuo put his hands behind his head, “Daddy, I want to soak my feet with you and mummy. I will do the boxing sequences afterward. “
Heartlessly, Ji Yan rejected, “No, boxing first, then foot bath.”
Without a choice, Ji Xiao Zhuo could only run to the side and started shadow boxing. His movements were vigorous though he was doing it faster than usual. By the time he was done, Xiao Zhuo ran eagerly to have a foot bath together. However, he discovered that his mummy and daddy had finished their foot bath. His daddy prepared new water for him, “Come and soak your feet.”
This was the first time Ji Xiao Zhuo felt he got deceived massively. He looked unbelievably at his old man, “Daddy?”
Ji Yan calmly got on the bed and took a book from the headboard. He opened the book and said, “Quickly soak your feet, then go to sleep.”
Seeing no hope with his daddy, Ji Xiao Zhuo silently turned to look at his mummy. Tang Tang’s eyes were flickering and were filled with guilt as she thought, Sorry, Bao Bao. Your daddy insisted on wiping my feet dry, then he drove me to bed.
Ji Xiao Zhuo seemed to have received his mummy’s message and flattened his lips. Wordlessly, he walked to the basin and took off his shoes before dipping his feet into the hot water. Then he silently lowered his head and soaked his feet. He gave off a desolate and miserable feeling as if he was abandoned.
His figure made Tang Tang feel her heart hurt. She wanted to get off the bed to cheer the little one up but, unexpectedly, Ji Yan spoke, “You’re not allowed to get off the bed. You have just gotten better. What should we do if you catch a cold again? Didn’t you promise me that you wouldn’t fall ill again?”
After that, Tang Tang obediently shrank back into the duvet. She stared back at Ji Xiao Zhuo with a guilty gaze.
Seeing that he still didn’t get his mummy’s comfort, Ji Xiao Zhuo got angry. His brows went up, and he let out a heavy humph, “I’m angry now! I’m going to ignore you!”
Ji Yan nodded, “Ok, ah, since you’re going to ignore us, then you don’t need to sleep with us tonight, right? You can go and sleep in the guest room alone.”
Ji Xiao Zhuo widened his eyes. Since he couldn’t back down halfway, he moved his gaze to Tang Tang.
Tang Tang quickly spoke to help him withdraw, “Bao Bao is still young. He needs his parents to sleep with him. He will get scared if he sleeps alone.”
As Ji Xiao Zhuo was planning to step down with that, Ji Yan said, “But he said he was a man. Would a man be afraid to sleep alone?”
If Ji Xiao Zhuo stayed now, he would be admitting that he was not a man. He couldn’t do that, so the little one wiped his feet. Then he went to get his pillow to leave the room. Before he left, Xiao Zhuo seriously said, “I’m leaving!”
Ji Yan waved his hand, “Go on.”
“I’m really leaving!”
“Hurry up. We need to sleep.”
“Husband….” Tang Tang secretly pulled on Ji Yan’s sleeve, “Don’t anger Bao Bao.”
Ji Yan took hold of her hand to stop her moving and spoke to the little one who was still by the bedroom door, “Hurry up and go. We need to switch off the lights.”
Since he was urging him to leave, Ji Xiao Zhuo got really angry and finally ran off without looking back. The door shut with a bang.
“What are you doing, ah?” Tang Tang became worried and got up. She planned to go after the little one.
In response, Ji Yan pulled her back down. The two of them were very close. They stared at each other, and they could feel the other party’s breathing.
Tang Tang immediately got nervous and stuttered again, “What … are you doing?”
Ji Yan’s voice was a bit hoarse as he replied, “Tang Tang, I have something to say to you.”
“What … what is it?” Tang Tang swallowed. She suddenly wanted to drink some water.
“During the time when you were ill, I discovered I –” When Ji Yan was going to say the crucial part, the door suddenly slammed open. A little meat bullet that was holding a pillow came flying in. He jumped in the middle between Ji Yan and Tang Tang. To protect Tang Tang from getting crushed, Ji Yan took all the impact from the little meat bullet. For a moment, he felt his evening meal in his stomach was going to be crushed out.
