Chapter 83: People With Money Are Reckless

“I’m honestly suspecting that you were picked up off the streets. Luckily, God’s been watching over us and He Shigui’s gone missing! Now, as long as Yu Gangan gets married, then the clinic will belong to us. But, if she doesn’t see Yang Tianyou anymore, how is she supposed to get married?”
Yu Gangan’s uncle remained calm, “Doesn’t she already have a husband? Why does Yang Tianyou’s existence matter?”
He then glared at his wife, “Watch your mouth from now on. What were you saying about an ‘old fool’? That’s our father!!”
“She has a husband?” The old aunt was afraid of Yu Gangan’s uncle, so she curled up a little as she spoke. After a moment of silence, she said “Are you talking about the man called Fang Zhihan? Didn’t Yu Gangan hire him to deceive us?”
Her husband sneered.
Was it important whether he was real or fake?
If they wanted him to be real, then even a fake could become real!
After returning from the police station, Yu Gangan discovered some people were moving furniture downstairs. They were all Italian imported pieces that cost a few million yuan, so she was confused by the sight.
Who was moving in?
Why would such a rich person live in such an average apartment block?
Yu Gangan caught the elevator upstairs and discovered that the new tenant lived on the same floor as her.
Even more of a surprise, this person was living right next door to her!
But, wasn’t someone still living there? Why did they suddenly move?
As Yu Gangan walked past, she subconsciously opened the door and peered inside to see who her new neighbor was. That was when she spotted President Lin Guofeng.
Her eyes and mouth opened wide in shock.
Lin Guofeng was busy guiding the removalists around the apartment when he turned his head and noticed Yu Gangan. In surprise, he called out happily, “Dr. Yu, you’re back.”
“President Lin, you’re…” Yu Gangan mumbled.
“Jiayu agreed to your treatment but she had one request: she wanted to live next door to you. So, I spoke to the owner of this apartment and purchased it from them.” Unlike his mood at Lin Corps, Lin Guofeng was brimming with joy and happiness.
[People with money are certainly reckless!] Yu Gangan thought to herself.
But, did he say that Lin Jiayu was accepting her treatment?
Yu Gangan remembered that Lin Jiayu didn’t agree to anything when she left the other day. Was she just lying to her father? Did she tell him that she was here for treatment but she was simply using it as an excuse to move out and avoid everything?
“I’m so thankful to you Dr. Yu. If you didn’t give my wife and I the idea of putting on an act in front of her and pretending to accidentally let her see it, she wouldn’t have accepted her treatment so quickly.”
The idea that Yu Gangan gave the couple was to pretend to be sick and heartbroken because of Lin Jiayu’s illness and to let her discover it.
That was the only way to let her know that she wasn’t the only one experiencing pain; that everyone who loved her was also suffering and that their pain was likely deeper and more painful than hers.
If Lin Jiayu didn’t care and ignored the pain that her parents felt, then Yu Gangan believed she deserved her suffering and she would leave her be.
But, if she truly loved her parents, she would learn to look beyond her own pain and come for treatment.
Luckily, Lin Jiayu was the latter!
However, it still wasn’t clear whether she was truly willing to get treatment or if she was doing it to subdue her parents’ worries.
Filled with gratitude, Lin Guofeng held onto Yu Gangan’s hand, rubbing it up and down thankfully, “I will leave my daughter with you, Dr. Yu. You must cure her.”
