Chapter 54: Difficult Domestic Work
After having a good workout, our group rode the land dragons straight over to the battlefield. Although we weren’t in a hurry, we rode over early so there wouldn’t be any more problems.
But now that I think about it, why didn’t we just use the ice board to go straight back? While it’s more convenient, how should I put this, these dragons had been given to us so it’s best for us to help them get them back.
Well……
It’s also for the sake of stretching our muscles.
We came back through the pine forest, and going back back to the battlefield we were able to see the Demon King addressing her men. When she saw us she hurried over and greeted us.
“Really, it’s hard for me to find you when you keep running around……well, there’s nothing you need to worry about though.”
“Why don’t you just send us a message?”
“Oh, yes. But I don’t use it that often so I forget that it’s there.”
Forget that it’s there?
I was shocked and paused for a moment before speaking.
“You don’t normally use it……could it be that there’s nobody else in the Abyss……that can talk with you?”
“Well, I told you. I haven’t met anyone like you since I came to the Abyss.”
“……”
That’s horrible. She hasn’t sent any information through the terminal over hundreds of years? Her state of mind is terrible, right?
“Don’t worry about it too much. Let’s get back to the main topic. While we planned on launching an attack in the evening, but the attack with the explosives made them overreact a little bit. According to the information gathered by our intelligence the enemy forces have begun to mobilize on a large scale. It looks like our assault is going to turn into a full head-to-head war.”
“You are planning to have us attack in advance, right?”
“Yes. If we allowed them to attack first it would too much trouble for you to break through their front line.”
“Well, has your information told you where Fir is in there?”
“He’s naturally inside of the enemy’s largest camp. It’s best to attack from the rear to avoid his army.”
“Ok, do you have any route’s you would recommend? We aren’t too familiar with the Abyss.”
“Oh, that’s true!”
The Demon King seemed to have thought of something. Looking around, she shouted.
“Greed-chan~”
Shua~ A girl in a golden mask appeared by the Demon King’s side.”
“Did you want something Lord Demon King?”
“Well, in the upcoming battle you are going to take Felicia and attack the enemy. I’ll leave it to you. Do a good job.”
“Eh?”
They were somewhat surprised.
“But……but Lord Demon King. Will you be ok without me being by your side?”
When she said that we all looked at the Demon King.
The Demon King’s face was red with rage.
“Of course I will be fine! What are you talking about! Take them now!”
“Ah……”
Greed nodded, took two steps toward us and looked back.
“Go!”
The Demon King suddenly decided to ‘take a long walk’ for some reason and stomped off.
That left us staring at each other.
“I feel……”
I was about to say something when Tai Shixi laughed.
“Well, we don’t interfere in people’s private lives, do we?”
“That’s right~”
Oyado nodded.
“I understand.”
“……”
I hope you don’t understand.
“Well……that’s……I’ll reintroduce myself. I am Greed.”
“Yeah, we met last time.”
“I am a Shadow Fiend. That’s why my appearance was so strange, so don’t be bothered by it.”
Is that so? So your ability to instantly appear and disappear was that sort of thing?
“Well, let’s introduce ourselves. I’m Felicia, this is Oyado and Aliyah. They are Bai Yueguang, Hei Luoli, and Tai Shixi. We are all human, by the way.”
“Then……then let’s hurry up and go. The Demon King will get lonely if I’m not here.”
“Is……is that so.”
We smiled awkwardly and asked.
“Then what’s the plan? Then frontline is so long that it would take too long to go around it.”
“Yeah. We’ll have to go through the underground passage then. Although it might be troublesome, it’s faster than challenging them head on.”
“Underground passage……”
I slapped my face.
“It looks like we’re fated to spend the rest of our lives in a hole in the ground.”
“It’s just you.”
Bai Yueguang said, looking at me.
“It has nothing to do with me.”
“I think that I buried you?”
