But Lea shook his head. “The important point is not who is this great lord but that there must be some sort of deal between him and the vulture race.”
“Mmm?” Gu Mengmeng’s instincts told her that this deal must have something to do with her getting the Love of the Sky. Hence, she stared at Lea with brightened eyes.
However, Lea suddenly changed the topic and stretched out his neck imperiously. “But I am not happy now and don’t feel like continuing.”
“Eh? You can’t just say something halfway.” Gu Mengmeng shook Lea’s shoulder as she whined.
Lea felt dizzy from her shaking but kept his lips sealed.
“My lord…” Gu Mengmeng drew out the last syllabus until Lea felt tingly all over. He laughed and stroked Gu Mengmeng’s head with exasperation. “Let me ask you first. The Love of the Sky versus Elvis: who is more important?”
Gu Mengmeng answered without even the need to think. “Elvis is more important.”
Lea nodded. Although he covered it very well, there was still a visible flash of disappointment in his eyes.
The Love of the Sky represented their children. She wished so desperately for little foxes, but they remained insignificant before Elvis. She did not even hesitate.

After I get the Love of the Sky, will Elvis die because he possesses the Heart of the Desert?”
“It’s not like that.” Lea recomposed himself in a flash and was instantly all smiles again. Without elaborating any further, he just gave Elvis an ambiguous look, before reaching out one long, slender finger to trace circles around the red spider lily mark on Elvis’ chest.
Elvis broke out in goosebumps and he reprimanded in a chilly tone. “Get lost!”
Lea lifted his chin with a provocative smile. Not only did he not remove his finger, he impudently pressed his entire palm over Elvis’ heart, before giving him a daring pinch. “No.”
Elvis’ forehead throbbed with rage as he gritted his teeth. “Don’t do anything that will make Xiao Meng’s imagination run wild. Otherwise, she might get a nosebleed again!”
Lea retracted his hand as if he had gotten an electric shock. He worriedly turned toward Gu Mengmeng and only relaxed when he saw that she appeared fine.
Since the three of them had gotten drunk that winter, Gu Mengmeng had been teasing them about their gay tendencies until Elvis felt like killing Lea before committing suicide himself to atone for his sins. Gu Mengmeng had instantly buried her “fetish for gay love” then and there, not daring to imagine any more gay scenarios between them two.
