Chapter 1328: Different Opinions
Chapter 1327 – Different Opinions
He wouldn’t have noticed on his own- plus, when Lin Yi noticed him, he was probably even farther away, walking…
“What is it?” Yutian said.
The man paused a little once he saw Yutian come out- so the follower of the couple was a practitioner as well. He wasn’t too surprised, though- after all, which graverobber in the business didn’t have practitioners with them? Old Hei had a Mystic class with him as well!
The sort of lives they led required brains and strength- otherwise, they’d all be dead in the tomb already.
“Hei Bro asks for the two thieves to his tent- the guest is here, and they are to discuss to the splitting of treasures.” The man said bluntly.
“Alright, go back first. We’ll be there in a bit!” Yutian gave the nod.
The man left just like that- he knew that this group didn’t care much for socializing anyway.
Yutian went back and told Lingshan and Lin Yi, although they heard already from his louder voice.
The three got ready and headed to Old Hei.
Old Hei’s tent was in the outermost area, in charge of security and identification. Lin Yi’s, however, was in the innermost part, since everyone was here by the time he reached.
With the style of the couple, they never initiated greetings to the others or anything, and so Lin Yi and Lingshan got a spot and sat down. Yutian, on the other hand, stood beside them and acted as a bodyguard.
Keng Bro was also a big shot in the group as well. Keng Bro was actually a nickname given to him because of his face, full of holes- it was some sort of disease. In any case, it was an ugly face.
Old Hao, on the other hand, was a man around fifty. According to the details, he was a veteran in the industry, with a lot of experience. Old Hei was also worried that he wouldn’t be able to take his tomb himself, and especially when there were so many greedy eyes here. He got Old Hao to stabilize things.
The last was a foreigner, called Ju Musi, James. James was just his nickname, though. No one used their real names in this business.
Foreigners did a lot of smuggling, but the ones that came to the tomb itself were rare. James was one of those. It was said that he was there when this tomb was discovered, along with Keng Bro. Old Hao only came later.
“Alright, everyone, it’s not the first time we’ve worked together, so let’s skip the introductions. Let me introduce you to our backup- from the Flying Sparrow Sect!” With that, he waved his hand, and Xiaoke walked in.
Lin Yi and Lingshan paused when they saw Xiaoke walk in! Why was she here?
But Lin Yi remembered that she did say something about her sect when they first met, saying she wanted to compete with him…
So she got hired by Old Hei as well!
Lin Yi and Lingshan both looked at each other silently, both surprised. They were also on alert as well. They couldn’t let Xiaoke realize who they were, or at least no in front of everyone. It’d be over otherwise.
We all know what the Flying Sparrow Sect is- and we all know that success is guaranteed, especially with Liu Bojia not being here with us. We had to get back up.” Old Hei introduced, “Let’ us talk about splitting the rewards first- we don’t want any conflict afterward.”
“I agree! There need to be rules when working as a team, we don’t want the greed blinding our eyes and ruining our peace,” Old Hao was the first to agree. He was here to stabilize things in the first place.
“I agree as well, and these things need to be stated.” Keng Bro nodded.
“I agree, we need to set the rules beforehand!” James said with his weird accent.
“I agree,” Lin Yi said flatly.
“Alright, since everyone is on the same page, let’s start. I have a suggestion.” Old Hei said. “Although this tomb is discovered by us together, the first one who got the information is me- I should have thirty percent!”
“Yes, that’s true!” Everyone nodded. They all had their rules- as the supplier of the information, Old Hei had the right to take thirty percent!
“Keng Bro, Old Hao, the couple, and James- you will all take fifteen percent, with the final ten percent given to our Flying Sparrow!” Old Hei said. “Of course, she’d have to prove her worth as well!”
“Alright!” Keng Bro, Old Hao, and James all nodded in agreement after some silence. This was a dangerous ancient tomb, and without the strength and skill, they wouldn’t even get in!
Fifteen percent didn’t sound like a lot, but if they actually counted, it was already a fortune! Plus, this was the most reasonable way to split it. Old Hei took double of theirs, he was the one who gave the most effort in the matter, and also shared the information instead of taking it for himself, finding the precise location with everyone.
“Fifteen percent is too little. I want twenty.” Lin Yi spoke up!
Lingshan paused, a bit annoyed at this- he wasn’t even going to get anything even if he was getting a hundred percent, so why cause this trouble?
But since he spoke up already, she couldn’t go against him. She watched how he was going to handle it.
“Oh?” Old Hei frowned. He didn’t expect the couple to speak up! But he didn’t dare piss this man off- his skill wasn’t far off from Bojia’s or the Sparrow girls, “What is your suggestion, then?”
“I don’t care how the others split it, but I want twenty percent,” Lin Yi said tyrannically.
“That’s…” Old Hei sighed a bit. “This is the most reasonable splitting, and if you want an extra five percent, I can’t take it from the others- only from my share. But why would I give you my five percent?”
“How about this- if there are traps or secret passages that I solve in the tomb, I’ll take that extra five percent. If not, we’ll go with the original splitting.”
