In Madame Ruan’s room, Grandmother in law’s elder sister was sitting on the sofa. Her expression was heavy, her eyes were slightly red, and she looked like she was going to cry but was holding back her tears.
When Huang Ying sat on the sofa, she began to cry stammeringly. She wasn’t wailing, but her tears were silently flowing.
Xu Cheng’s face was still, and she sat there with her head lowered.
Madame Ruan was baffled. “Elder sister, what’s going on? What happened?”
“What happened? The more Grandmother in law’s elder sister spoke, the angrier she got. She slammed her hand down on the coffee table. This slam scared both Huang Ying, who was crying and Xu Cheng, who was silent and had her head down.
