"No. I'm going back to work tomorrow," she answered, her eyes still on the files. "I've been absent for more than a week. I can't neglect my job just because I want to make someone suffer."
"You have been working from here ever since you had your 'accident'. What are you so worried about?"

"No. I knew you would let her suffer, but… it has been three days and I was actually wondering if she's already signed the documents just to end her misery."
"She wouldn't," Lily said with absolute certainty. "She and I… we are the same - almost the same."
Zhuo Jingren did not answer Lily, he merely nodded. Zhang Yifei and Lily were not the same, at least not in the way they chose to deal with their enemies. However, he also understood that Lily wasn't equally heartless only because of the positive influence of the people who saved her.
