Chapter 357: Farewell, You, the Best Person in the World
Feeling enraged, Coco was about to speak when Qiao Bo ended his phone call and returned.
Coco immediately kept his temper under control.
Meanwhile, Jian Qi could not help but laugh joyfully.
After the group had chatted for another hour or so, Qiao Bo’s phone beeped. “It’s getting late. I’ll be leaving then,” he said.
“You’ve had a bit to drink. I’ll get the driver to come pick you up,” Coco said.
“It’s alright. Somebody’s downstairs to pick me up.” Qiao Bo turned his head around to look at Jian Qi with a smile. “Thank you for your generosity today.”
“As long as you are satisfied, Idol!” Jian Qi laughed cheekily.
Qiao Bo smiled a little before he proceeded to leave.
Once the door was shut, Jian Qi and Coco moved the plates into the dishwasher before sitting down in the living room.
“How long is your break this time around?” Coco asked.
“Three days.”
“Alright. I’ll arrange my work tomorrow so that I can spend the two remaining days to accompany you.”
Jian Qi chuckled. “Lord Coco, once this break ends, it might be a long while before I can come back again.”
“How long would that be?” Coco asked.
Although Coco did not know how things were run in the military, he knew that holidays did not come by that easily.
“I don’t know yet. It might be a year or two…” Jian Qi shook her head.
‘That long?’ Coco frowned as he thought. “Don’t you work in the culinary department? Why are your holidays so limited?”
“Everybody new to the military experiences the same thing.” Jian Qi said dismissively. “Don’t worry. I’ll come back as soon as I go on break.”
“Baby, can you not enter the military just to go after a man?” Coco sounded exasperated.
Jian Qi laughed it off. “Alright. If I fail to make him mine, I won’t do it anymore!”
Coco finally felt greatly relieved.
Even if Jian Qi took two more years off, she would only be twenty when she returns to the entertainment industry. Based on the resources he now possessed, it was only a matter of time before he could make her popular once more.
“Alright, let’s call it a day. Get some rest. You have work tomorrow. I should get back to my room to sleep too.”
After Jian Qi returned to her room, Coco went to the guest room. However, instead of sleeping, he proceeded to arrange his work for the next three days.
Since he had no idea when he would be able to meet Jian Qi again, he decided to devote the next three days to accompany her.
When Jian Qi woke up the next day, she was surprised to find that Coco was still around. “Aren’t you going to work?”
“I’ve sorted things out. I can spend time with you now.”
Jian Qi looked at him fixatedly for several minutes before she smiled.
“Let’s go? Why do you still look stunned?” Coco asked.
After recollecting herself, Jian Qi followed Coco out of the apartment.

There was a saying that went like this—time flies by when one is having fun. In the blink of an eye, three days had passed. It was now time for Jian Qi to return to the military.
Coco personally brought her to the train station.
“Goodbye, Baby.” Coco waved at Jian Qi. “Stay safe and don’t bully your comrades, alright?”
Jian Qi could not help but laugh. Why was he not asking her to be careful so that she would not get bullied by others?
After taking two steps toward Coco, Jian Qi extended her arms to hug him.
“Lord Coco, I’m truly happy that I got to meet you!” Jian Qi hugged him tightly as she exclaimed. At an angle that Coco could not see, Jian Qi stopped smiling as a tinge of unwillingness appeared in her eyes. “Although you nag a lot, and you’re also a little naive, you are the best person in the world…”
Jian Qi pursed her lips.
‘I don’t know if I will still be able to see you. I also don’t know if this will be the last time we meet. Regardless, I feel very lucky that I got to meet you!’ Jian Qi thought. ‘I used to think that nobody in the world would be nice to me without expecting anything in return. However, to my surprise, you have been very kind to me.’
‘Dear Coco, I hope that you have a bright future ahead.’
‘If fate permits, I hope that we will still meet each other again. I know the chances are slim but I really hope it could happen.’
‘Lord Coco, goodbye…’
