FOG [e-sports] Chapter 134 - Extra 2

Chapter 134 - Extra 2

The state of the entire Free Team’s mood was a cause of concern for this year’s World Championships tournament management team.
Club Free was awesome.
Club Free was the first club to break n-number of match records in the same year it was founded.
The four players in Club Free were all young talented players.
Free has the star players with the most fans in the league…
……
So on and so forth. The league staff were willing to recognize all these amazing achievements.
However, this didn’t mean that this club could already celebrate as overall champions for this year’s World Championships when they’ve just passed the quarterfinals.
It also didn’t mean that their club’s Chen Huo Xuanshou and Puppy Xuanshou could take photos with the championship trophy placed in the center of the stadium when they’re just barely past the quarterfinals.
It also does not mean that their muddled and incessantly crying manager could already contact the league officials to prepare their victory celebration as this year’s champions.
This Eastern team was just too much.
Too presumptuous.
If it were only them being unbridled, it would have been fine. After all, they had already proven their strength. Their BO5 against Sacred Sword has already convinced everyone. But the annoying things was, they were also starting to affect the other team from the Chinese division.
Club NSN, for some reason, was also invigorated and they too began to act like hoodlums. Their opponents in the quarterfinals, the Swedish team, have reported to the tournament management team. They had no idea what had gotten into NSN’s head. Just after Free finished their match, NSN happily ran to ask their quarterfinals opponents if they too would like for the loser of their match to delete their accounts.
The Swedish team, who played by the rules of the game, decided to simply sidestep this instead of confronting NSN. They filed a report against NSN. Therefore, NSN was given a warning by the tournament management team, after which they quite happily behaved themselves.
NSN for no reason at all was carried away silly. The tournament management team could still warn and scare them. But as for Free…
Everyone knew what Sacred Sword had been doing before so the tournament management team decided to turn a blind eye, pretending not to see some small matters.
Such as when a staff member reported that Free’s players were having a serious discussions after the game whether or not to take advantage of them being overseas to find somewhere where no one was around to beat up Sacred Sword’s captain.
Or when backstage, after the quarterfinals, Free ran into Sacred Sword and some of Free’s players, like bandits, jeered and heckled the owner of the Sacred Sword club.
Or when Evil Xuanshou applied for a Twitter account and immediately began spraying Sacred Sword after the game. He celebrated Sacred Sword getting booted out of the quarterfinals and he lay down some fierce words as well: If he runs into Sacred Sword again next year, he was going to delete their accounts once again.
The official tournament management group simply acted like nothing was happening.
“…You should restrain yourself a bit. You’re also getting a bit too crazy.”
On the day Sacred Sword was sent off, Free was staying in the hotel. Everyone in the team squeezed into Zhou Huo’s room. Chen Huo lay against the back of the sofa with a bottle of wine while watching Shi Luo enthusiastically output on Twitter, “You’re going to delete their accounts if you run into them again? How can you act like such a bandit?”
Shi Luo ignored Chen Huo. He took a bottle of wine and drank a couple of sips. He continued to trample on Sacred Sword’s burial mound, disco dancing upon it like crazy.
“Oh, the members of Sacred Sword truly are pitiful.” Puppy has had his fill of feeling cool and went to open a live broadcast, making an insincere attempt at pretending to be a good person while interacting with the live chat. “Having their accounts deleted once a year and starting all over again every year…Their kick-off match for the new season will look amazing. Four completely bare new accounts going off to fight against another team. Hahaha, I’m going to die from laughing…”
“Serves them right! Didn’t they enter the second seed pool because they wanted to bully others… and ended up kicking an iron plate? Shows you who’s really crazy, right? Ah…” Old Qiao sat askew on the sofa. He shared a toast with Zhou Huo and took a sip of the wine. He dazedly sniffed the wine. “Hey! This wine is really good. What kind of wine is this? Is it local?”
“No, I had it delivered from home.” Zhou Huo had no idea how much he had drunk. His face was flushed, and his speech was slurred. “I asked someone to have it delivered by air to celebrate our championship! Each bottle costs more than fifty thousand yuan…and I prepared six whole bottles.”
“Amazing. Awesome.” Old Qiao kept nodding repeatedly. While refilling his glass, he said laboriously, “This expensive wine’s f*cking good but…”
Old Qiao took another sip of wine. He narrowed his eyes and thought about it for a moment. Unexpectedly, he couldn’t remember whether his team actually won the championships or not.
If he can’t remember then he can’t remember. Old Qiao shook his head and had another drink with Zhou Huo.
Three players, one coach, one manager, and five staff members; ten people downed six bottles of high proof alcohol with potato chips and popcorn. All of them drank themselves silly.
The only person in the club who couldn’t drink alcohol did a two-hour post-match interview. When he returned to the hotel, he was greeted with this scene of extravagant waste.
Yu Sui looked at the roomful of drunks and asked seriously, “Is there still anyone…who remembers that we just made it past the quarterfinals?”
The roomful of kings looked at Yu Sui. Although their minds were unclear, their bearing remained dignified. They all looked scornfully at him.
Obviously, no one remembered.
The room was filled with the strange intermingled smell of popcorn and red wine. For Yu Sui, who hasn’t touched alcohol for several years now, it was a bit unbearable. After smelling it, he didn’t want to enter the room. He took off his jacket and threw it near the door. He left the door open and sat on his jacket. He fiddled with his phone for a while as he waited for the smell of alcohol to fade before entering the room.
Puppy was already sitting on the ground. He had fallen asleep while leaning against the sofa. The live broadcast was still on. Yu Sui took a look–
[Is Yu Shen back? ? ? 】
[Hahahahaha With how much Whisper loves things clean and tidy, he probably doesn’t even want to enter this room. 】
[I can feel Yu Shen’s despair. Children, do you know that you’re still supposed to fight in the semi-finals? 】
【Yu Shen ah ah ah ah! Look at the camera! ! ! 】
[Whisper, please check Manager Zhou’s cell phone. He might have gotten so drunk that he already booked your return tickets to China for tomorrow! 】
[For a moment there, I thought you were only there to play the quarterfinals this year. Smiley face. You’re not just gonna leave after playing the quarterfinals, right? 】
[I can’t laugh anymore. Why is it that my team can’t take their alcohol very well? And the only one who knows how to take his drink has sworn off drinking. hhhhh…]
Yu Sui said hello to the camera and saw a comment asking, [That account deletion battle was all for him. Will a certain someone still not go public about you yet? 】
Yu Sui couldn’t control the corner of his mouth from ticking up. “It doesn’t seem like a certain someone has any intention of that.”
Fans knew exactly what about Yu Sui Shi Luo was supposed to go public about. There was a comment that deliberately said, [Maybe he still doesn’t love you enough. 】
Yu Sui smiled.
The fans were afraid that Yu Sui would take it seriously so they rushed to drown out that comment that Shi Luo didn’t love Yu Sui enough by copy-pasting their congratulations to Yu Sui for making it through the quarterfinals.
Yu Sui thanked the fans, got up and surveyed everyone in the room again——
Yu Sui rubbed his neck and sent a message in the club’s main group chat, asking the accompanying staff who hadn’t joined in the drinking party to take care of the others.
As for a certain someone in this den of drunks, of course, Yu Sui himself was going to look after him alone.
Yu Sui picked up Shi Luo. Half-supporting and half-carrying him, he and took the other back to his room.
There was probably still a surviving trace of the soul of competition in his heart. Although looked blank from all the alcohol, he still retained a bit of rationality. After returning to the room and being helped into the bed by Yu Sui, he lay down on the bed for a while and then suddenly pulled the corner of Yu Sui’s clothes.
“Tomorrow…” Shi Luo’s eyes were red and he looked straight at Yu Sui, “…did we set an appointment for a practice match? What time?”
Yu Sui asked in reply, “If we had made an appointment, could you even get up?”
Shi Luo looked straight at Yu Sui. He obviously didn’t understanding what Yu Sui was talking about.
That fierce rookie player on the field, lying all dumbfounded and muddleheaded on the bed was inexplicably cute.
Yu Sui rubbed Shi Luo’s head, “Don’t worry. We hadn’t set any for tomorrow. What would we do if we really had? If you can’t get up, should I open two accounts and play both to fight for you?”
Shi Luo slowly looked towards Yu Sui, his eyes going a bit out of focus. He said with great effort, “You… Can open both and play?”
The first assassin-type medic recognized by the league thought for a moment, “If it’s just a practice match, I could but I can’t guarantee a win.”
Shi Luo frowned slightly, “Striker…”
“I can play that too.” Yu Sui kindly reminded, “Baobei-er, in your first regular season game, who was your temporary striker? I was your dog for the entire game. I handed you an MVP title, did you already forget?”
Shi Luo paused for a moment and he suddenly smiled.
Shi Luo buried half his face in the pillow, “You accompanied me in that game…”
Shi Luo closed his eyes. Then suddenly he began to do a game review, “You didn’t make a mistake the entire way through. In such a fast paced game, you were still able to take care of everyone… No wonder Sacred Sword’s boss hates you so much for leaving… Why are you so powerful?”
Yu Sui wanted to be polite, but after thinking about it calmly, he was really awesome. He nodded, “Thank you.”
After dawdling for a while, it was already past midnight. Yu Sui no longer dallied. He took Shi Luo’s clothes off for him, preparing to urge him to sleep.
Yu Sui opened the zipper of Shi Luo’s jacket. Shi Luo was being very well-behaved. When told to spread his arms, he would spread his arms. When told to raise his head, he would raise his head. Yu Sui didn’t need to take much effort to make Master Shi understand, “Drink some water?”
Shi Luo shook his head. He looked down at the drawstring on his sweatpants, and slowly asked, “Why doesn’t this untie…”
Yu Sui: “……”
Yu Sui looked down at Shi Luo and said nothing.
Within half a minute, Shi Luo’s ears turned red.
The corners of Yu Sui’s lips raised slightly, “…what dirty things are you thinking about?”
Shi Luo closed his eyes and did not speak. His mind was full of Yu Sui’s various extreme operations on the field.
The more he thought, the more his heart was like a frisky monkey, his mind like a cantering horse.
Yu Sui looked at Shi Luo with a smile in his eyes. After a moment, Shi Luo opened his eyes. Yu Sui couldn’t help but smile when he looked at the familiar energy in Shi Luo’s eyes.
Little puppy cub.
Yu Sui’s ears were also turning a little hot. He cleared his throat, “Baobei…how much did you drink? Did you forget? In six days, we will be fighting in the semifinals.”
Shi Luo was quiet for a moment, and whispered, “Will it affect you?”
Yu Sui had to admit, “…It won’t affect on me.”
The atmosphere instantly became more ambiguous.
Yu Sui rubbed his brows. He glanced around the room, hesitated for a moment and then gave up. He sat next to Shi Luo, bowed his head and kissed Shi Luo’s lips, “…Let’s not. There's no cover.”
Because of his drunkenness, Shi Luo’s reaction speed was much slower than usual. It took Shi Luo ten seconds from when Yu Sui said it to understand.
Yu Sui was going to go pour some water for Shi Luo, but before he got up, Shi Luo grabbed the neckline of his shirt.
Shi Luo’s lips moved. Holding on tightly to Yu Sui’s clothes, after a while, he whispered something into Yu Sui’s ear.
Yu Sui’s Adam’s apple bobbed.
“I…I won’t be able to control myself anymore.” Yu Sui tried to stay sensible, “Ah…don’t you hate how hard — hard it is to clean up afterwards?”
Yu Sui was finding it really embarrassing to speak any more blatantly.
Shi Luo was quiet again for a while. Because of his drunkenness, Shi Luo’s eyes looked damp and there was nothing but Yu Sui in his dark eyes.
Shi Luo vaguely said, “I-I don’t hate it.”
“If you can’t control yourself anymore then just…” Shi Luo put his head on Yu Sui’s chest, his voice was a little hoarse, “What do I hate? You…don’t you already know how much I like you?”
……
If he could still hold back after all this then there really was a problem.
Yu Sui kissed Shi Luo on the corner of his mouth. He remembered the comment he had seen just now.
And some people think you don’t love me enough.
The next day NSN’s quarterfinals match against the Swedish team. Before, Club Free vowed solemnly that they would go to the stadium to cheer for NSN but like the day when NSN qualified past the group stage, these people slept in once again.
NSN was in very good form. They won their match three to two and successfully qualified for the quarterfinals, advancing to the semifinals.
Now that they were in the top four, they naturally wanted their share of whipping the corpse. After the game, NSN’s boss and manager sent bitingly sarcastic ridicule to the already cold Sacred Sword team.
Once they’ve had their fill of scolding Sacred Sword, NSN remembered the other Chinese team who had also entered the semifinals. The two teams weren’t in the same hotel. NSN’s manager wanted to ask Free to have a meal together to celebrate. Unexpectedly, despite contacting every member of Free, none of them replied back.
In the evening, they finally, finally managed to contact Zhou Huo. Zhou Huo, who still wasn’t thinking clearly because of the hangover, thought that NSN had come to ask for a practice match so he directly refused.
“What practice match? No need to work so hard, the championship is already ours.”
NSN’s manager: “……”
NSN’s manager immediately hung up on this crazy call.
Free truly was arrogant, taking a full day and two nights off. Because the contestants have not logged into the game client for 24 hours in a row to practice, Club Free, like Club NSN, also received a warning from the tournament management group.
After the tournament management group issued their warning and penalties, they also specially advised Zhou Huo, with all good intentions, not to be so unbridled because of his players’ great talent. Since the group stage, your team has been so wild and mad. For such a young team, how can you be so reckless? There’s still the semi-finals to play. The competition will only get fiercer and fiercer. How can you afford to rest for an entire day? Do you think it will always be as simple as playing the quarterfinals every time?
Five days later, Free won 3:0 in the semi-finals. After Sacred Sword, they got a shutout against the No. 1 seeded team in North America. They’ve made it past the semi-finals and they got this year’s first ticket to the World Championship finals.
The tournament management team was now embarrassed to admonish Free again.
The mad have the capital to be mad.
These four players’ one in ten million talent would not betray Free. Their day after day of painstaking practice would not betray Free.
Their previous bitter hardships were what enabled them to win the matches so easily now.
