At the sight of her obscured figure, Emmett finally relaxed. He didn't even notice he had been holding
his breath this entire time.
Squatting down, he reached over to touch her head. Pushing a few strands of hair that were covering
her face, he shook his head and sighed. His voice was hoarse, barely heard by the people at the back.
“Alyssa, I finally found you.”
Her hair was messy, and her clothes were torn and wrinkled. There were fine beads of sweat coating
her pale forehead, but fortunately, she had gotten out fine and unscathed.
Emmett couldn’t help but run his fingers on her cheek. “I’m here, you're safe now."
Just as he was about to pick her up, she opened her eyes and moved farther away from him. “Get
away… Please, don't touch me."
Her gaze was misty and frightened and her eyes were full of tears, like a little kitten who wanted
nothing more than to hide and retreat.
Had they hurt her this much?
Upon seeing her vulnerable face, Emmett's stare darkened immensely. After making sure she's okay,
he'd make sure that those bastards pay for what they've done to her.
He stared deeply at Alyssa. After a few seconds, he leaned closer to her ear and whispered. “I'm
Justin. I'm going to bring you home now, okay? Nobody can touch you there. I promise."
At his words of comfort, her movements slowed to a stop, and she tilted her head towards him. Emmett
was already close her ear, and now they were even closer, with their heads touching. He could feel the
heat of her forehead.
She was burning!
His expression turned even more vicious as he hurriedly wrapped his arms around her, picking her up.
Without another word, he strode out of the room.
"You're safe now, you're safe now." He whispered over and over again to prevent her from moving any
more.
The woman in his arms was as hot as a small stove, almost roasting him with the heat. Her brows were
knitted together, and her slow breathing became much ragged. She seemed to be in pain. But, she was
obedient. She seemed to trust him enough to lean against in chest and didn't make a fuss. It's as if she
knew that she shouldn't make any trouble for him.
Emmett’s expression turned even gloomier as his anger rose even more. Gritting his teeth, he held her
even tighter, not wanting to let her go.
One of his subordinates had informed Xavier and Frank that they found Alyssa. So When Emmett
finally reached the main hall, the two men were already waiting for him, looking just as anxious as he
was.
Upon seeing the man’s expression, Frank stayed right in his place, not daring to ask him what had
happened. Xavier, however, was brave enough to open his mouth. “Is she okay?”
“She's okay." His voice was deep. He then turned to Frank . "Start the car. We're going to the hospital."
“Understood." Bowing his head, Frank grabbed his phone to make a call.
When all of them finally got in the car, a thought occurred to Emmett. He turned to Xavier. “Your
unknown star. Where is she?”
"I just called her. She's not here." Although Xavier was still dissatisfied with the way Emmett had
addressed Hazel, he didn't comment on it any further. After all, this wasn't the right time to discuss
trivial things such as this.
Nodding, Emmett glanced up at the driver. "Hurry up."
They had already reached the maximum limit, but the driver didn't dare to disobey his order. With
Young Madame's life on the line, he immediately slammed his foot onto the gas and sped away.
Luckily, there were a lot less cars on the road at this time, so they didn't come to any accident.
Luckily, there were a lot less cars on the road at this time, so they didn't come to any accident.
After a few seconds, the car finally arrived at the nearest private hospital. As soon as the car stopped
by the entrance, Emmett got off.
The hospital wasn't very big, and there were a few doctors assigned to the midnight shift. The doctor
on duty was a middle-aged man. He wasn't doing anything much as he leaned against the counter to
chat with his girlfriend to pass the time.
However, as soon as he saw Emmett and his group of men walking into the entrance, his happy
expression changed in an instant and he immediately hung up.
Emmett was carrying Alyssa. Behind him were Frank and Xavier, who also looked like they weren't
kidding around. Behind the other two men were a large group of subordinates. At first glance, they
looked like they were part of the Mafia, looking to cause trouble in the private hospital.
The doctor was so scared that his face paled at the sight and he tried to keep his voice from shaking.
"Excuse me... Are you… here to see a doctor?"
“Yes.” Emmett said and put Alyssa on the hospital bed. He then looked at the doctor with a solemn
expression. "Check on her and find out what they made her drink."
"Yes, Sir." The doctor swallowed as he looked at the ugly woman. His hands were trembling as he
grabbed onto his stethoscope, lowering it down her chest to check for any abnormalities. Her heartbeat
was slow.
Emmett coldly glanced at his shaking figure. "Do you have epilepsy?"
The doctor hurriedly replied. “No…”
In his defense, he was surrounded by a group of scary-looking men, and it was obvious that they
promised him death if he committed even a single mistake on this young woman. How could he not be
afraid for his life? Even then, the doctor took a deep breath and started again. This time, his
movements were steadier than a few seconds ago.
The medicine that was given to her was a bit unorthodox, he realized after doing a few tests. The
medicine had an anesthetic component to it with aphrodisiac…
Although he couldn't tell what specific medicine was used on the woman, for the time being, it wouldn't
be difficult to treat her.
He gave Alyssa an injection and hooked her up to an IV fluid. As the minutes passed, her body relaxed
on the stretcher, and she could finally exhale more easily. The doctor sighed in relief.
Once they've returned to the villa, Emmett directly carried her into his room.
Her face was covered in a cold sweat, and he could see how messy she looked under the dim light. He
slowly got up from his bed and headed to the bathroom to grab a hot towel to wipe her face. Now that
she was fine, his movements were more at ease.
He reached out and lifted her thick bangs before using his other hand to wipe her face.
As he was doing so, his hand froze. This was the first time he had done something like this, and he felt
quite good about it…
However, it seemed that there was something wrong with Alyssa’s face.
The last time he was in the dining room, he had always wondered what was wrong with Alyssa's face,
thinking of the thick waxy powder that coated his fingertips. But she had gotten so wary of him that he
didn't make any move to find out. Plus, he never really cared much about her appearance.
However, looking at it now, he realized that she was indeed hiding something from him.
Narrowing his eyes, he wiped her face clean. Emmett made sure to rub the wet towel over every inch
and corner of her face, not stopping until the waxy foundation was gone entirely. After this, he took a
step back and gazed up at her.
Not yellowish and with black spots as usual, but her face was as white as powder and as smooth as
silk. It was alabaster and shining. He froze in surprise.
Her lips were red and rosy, her nose was delicate. Her long, curly eyelashes parted like a fan, creating
a small shadow across her eyes. Her forehead was smooth and her hairline was neat.
Everything about her face was close to perfection, and even he couldn't help but stop and stare.
She was beautiful.
Emmett looked at her and suddenly let out a low laugh.
This woman not only pretended to be stupid but also pretended to be ugly. He didn't know if she had
done it because she was smart or gullible, but either way, it was obvious that she had suffered such a
bad life back at the Moore Family.
…
The next morning, when Alyssa woke up, she felt that every part of her body was in pain. She exploded
into a fit of coughs, as if her throat was on fire. With a hand clutching her throat, she used the other
hand to rub her lower back.
What happened to her?
Squinting her eyes at the broad light, she glanced from left to right in confusion. Her eyebrows
furrowed. This...this wasn't her room!
She rolled over and sat on the bed. Her mind was blank. What happened last night?
Just as she was about to yell, the door was pushed open.
Emmett walked in with a glass of water. Reaching her bedside, he passed the glass to her. "Drink up."
She didn't even bother questioning him as she finished it all up.
Once she had set the glass down, she realized that the man in front of him was wearing nothing but a
nightgown. Her face turned sheet white as she looked down, only to see that she was also wearing her
pajamas.
Did something happen last night?
“Justin, last night… You… I… We…” She was somewhat confused with so many memories coming all
at once.
Emmett sat on the edge of the bed and put his arm beside her. He looked at her with passionate eyes
and said in a low voice, “Last night, I went to Sky Light Club to save you. When we came back, you
insisted on sleeping in my room...you even took advantage of me in my sleep. You've done absolutely
everything you should and should not have done to me, and I couldn't stop you."
“What did you just say? I did what?"
Alyssa was totally confused. She had remembered jumping down and grabbing the railing to hide
behind the curtains. But what happened after that...she couldn't recall. Everything was blank.
However, she also remembered that apart from the desire to survive when she jumped off the building,
she didn’t have much strength for the rest of the time.
Since she didn’t have any strength left, how could she do something to “Justin” that she shouldn’t have
done?
“Don’t lie to me! Although I don’t remember what happened last night, I’m sure that I didn’t have any
strength to do something to you!”
“Since you don’t remember, how can you be so sure that you didn’t do anything? The medicine they've
given you is a new type of party drug, and it’s affects are really great and satisfying.”
Emmett got closer and closer and his voice became ambitious, “Besides, I’ve always liked you. If you
think about it, I really can’t refuse you when you did that to me…”
