The Innocent Wife of Scheming President Chapter 428 Dad, Help Me

"But you don’t have to worry too much. I'll keep an eye on this guy. In addition, I've got a record of Knox
Li's bank transactions, and at 4:17 this afternoon, a $100,000 transfer was made to his account. I've
got the information and a picture of the remitter. I'll e-mail it to you. You can see if it's the friend he
mentioned who ate at Angel with him."

"Okay, thank you."

"No worries," Ivy said.

Olive smiled, "I gotta go. We have guests. I'll invite you to dinner another day."

She did not hear the man's disappointed sigh.

Back in the dining room, she sat down. Kent kept asking Janetta to marry him, but Janetta didn't want
to and kept refusing him. Alan watched them bicker silently.

Janetta was not used to Kent's overly intimate physical contact with her. She was annoyed and glared
at him. If they were in her house, she would hit him hard.

This girl was quite tough. Olive thought. Even though that tough look flashed across her eyes, it still
exposed her stubbornness.

"Kent, will you stop it?" Janetta gritted her teeth and said. She felt embarrassed. Especially the smiling
eyes across the table made her feel uncomfortable.

Kent said with heartache, "I'm very serious. Why don't you believe me?"

Because you are a playboy and there were too many gossips about you. Can any woman who takes
love seriously believe you? Olive wanted to interrupt and answer like this.

But Annie said before she could open her mouth, "Uncle Bai, you are so lame."

"Huh?" Kent squinted his eyes. This was not the first time he had seen this child. Last time he had
lunch with her father and her. He had been all through with the strange thoughts in her head. They
were not in line with her age. "What do you want to say, little brat."

"Uncle Bai, your proposal is really bad. There are flowers and rings in boys' proposals. Boys would get
down on one knee and kiss the back of girls' hands. Then they would ask girls, will you marry me? But
you're just like a bully landlord who takes away a girl from a good family. Of course Janetta will not
marry you."

Annie amused everyone with a look of contempt. Even Janetta couldn't help but laugh.

Kent glared, "I am like a bully? Can't you see I'm handsome and gentle?"

Annie curled her lip and said, "You only look like a bully. Am I right? Aunt Janetta?"

Janetta nodded in a hurry. She liked this little girl.

Kent snorted heavily, "Little brat, how dare you hinder me..."

Annie grinned, "Women should help each other!"

Kent squinted at her, "Are you a woman? You little brat."

"Dad, help me. He is looking down on me because I'm a kid." The little girl turned to Alan.

"You..." Kent was completely speechless, turned his head and asked Olive, "Are you sure she is the
child of you and Alan and not the child of you and a creature from outer space?"

Olive smiled and said nothing.

Janetta was more and more fond of this articulate and active child, and couldn't help but kiss her hard
on the cheek. Suddenly, she realized that having a baby was actually quite fun.

But she was still a young girl. She didn't know whether it was a blessing or a curse to be liked by this
man. In fact, she was quite confused and hoped someone could give her suggestions.

Kent looked at Annie again, "Children's Day is coming up soon. Originally, I was going to invite you to
Disneyland. Since you like Janetta to reject me, I'm not going to do that."

Kent thought this trick would work, but Annie obviously didn't buy it. She pouted, "It's okay. Dad will
take me there."

"Your dad? Your dad won't be free that day. He is very busy with work." Adults always thought it was a
simple thing to bluff children.

But for a smart child, ordinary little tricks would not work. "It doesn't matter. Although I’m growing up
year by year, I still have several opportunities to celebrate Children's Day. Besides, I don't have to go to
Disneyland on Children's Day. There must be many parents taking children to play that day. It will be
very crowded."

Annie said lightly. Her words were organized and made sense. Kent didn't know how to refute.

"Alan, your daughter is simply a little monster."

Alan smiled lightly, "You should say there will be no laggard among the children of brave or talented
men."

"She will be a headache after she grows up." Kent gloated.

Alan admitted that Anine was a headache sometimes, but, "It is a blessing that she will be a headache
for me. I am afraid that you will not have such a headache after forty."

Kent gritted his teeth and said, "Don't be smug. I'll have more kids than you do."

"But aunt Janetta doesn't want to give birth for you, right?" Annie poured oil over the flames.

In front of so many people, Janetta's face gradually appeared red, and her eyes drooped slightly. She
didn't dare to look directly at the others, "Of course I won't do that."

"Do you want me to have babies with another woman?" Kent looked sullen. This woman was really
insensitive. He had already put down his self-esteem, but she was even unwilling to pretend to accept
him.

"You can have babies with whoever you like. You have so many lovers anyway." Janetta didn't know
that she sounded a little jealous.

Kent's gloomy mood suddenly disappeared, and then he smiled cheerfully. He put his arm on her
shoulders again, "No, I only want to have babies with you."

After dinner, the two men went to the study upstairs to talk about business.

Janetta breathed a sigh of relief after Kent was away. This man was totally shameless.

Quietly facing his back, she made a face and showed her mischievous side.

Coincidentally, Olive, who had just walked out of the kitchen with the fruit, saw this, she smiled,
stopped behind her, and said suddenly, "You dislike him?"

Knowing that her little action was noticed by Olive, Janetta was a little embarrassed, and she answered
honestly, "Yes."

Olive asked her to sit down in the wicker chair on the balcony, and placed the fruit tray on the wooden
table between them.

After Annie finished eating, she was attracted by a few tiny bugs that flickered under the grape rack
outside the window, and took her aunt Ada to run there.

It was not the time when the fireflies were pouring out of their nests, but there were also a few that
couldn't help but come out to explore the world.

Olive looked at the large and small chasing figures in the garden and smiled faintly.

"Annie is so cute." Janetta couldn't help saying this.

"Every child is an angel, and Annie is my angel. When I was tired from work, she gave me a lot of
happiness and comfort."

"I really envy you. You have a husband who has loved you for so many years, and such smart and
lovely child. Moreover, you have such a successful career, which is not something all women can get."
Janetta did not hide the envious gleam in her eyes.

"You will have these too."

Every woman was also an angel who had fallen to earth, waiting for a man who would give her wings.

"Will I?" Janetta shook her head. A faint light flashed in her eyes and turned into confusion.

"Why don't you like Kent?" Olive started to bring up the topic.

"He..." Janetta still shook her head.

She didn't know how she felt about that man. Sometimes, he would stir up ripples in her heart, but
many times, she still disliked him.

He disrupted her peaceful life. She was just a student and was not his opponent in relationships.

She minded his private life. He couldn't give her the sense of security she wanted. Even if he was rich
and powerful, she didn't want to marry him. She didn't want to keep guessing whom he hooked up with
again everyday.

The love she wanted must be clean and devoted.

Olive saw the hesitation in her eyes and smiled softly, "Since you don't like him, why did you agree to
meet his best friend as his girlfriend."

"No, I didn't. He just made that up. I was actually tempted to refuse him directly, but I was afraid he
would get angry. He will be very scary if he is angry and will take it out on people who are innocent."

For some reason, Janetta suddenly had the desire to confide in the woman she met for the first time.
Once she started, she couldn't stop.
