: Maurice Was Wronged

Eliana bit her lip.

Was Preston really mad because of a wealthy woman? Thinking that there were many women in his
life, Eliana suddenly felt as though someone had grabbed her heart, making her unable to breathe.She
pulled a long face and said, "Anyway, I will contact you once I get the ting."

She then hung up before he could reply.

Although Nana did not hear what he said to her, she was able to make a rough guess based on what
Eliana said to him.

"Did that gigolo just scold you?" She was enraged.

Immediately her opinion of Preston worsened.

"I've already told you he is not a good choice.Once you find the ring, I want you to cut off ties with him."

Hearing that, Eliana burst into laughter.

"Oh, come on! Don't be so angry."

After all, she did owe him the ring.



Eliana could not help but curse her bad luck.

Nana snorted, "Leave this matter to me.I'll take Bowling to see the vet again tomorrow."

Eliana always felt at ease when Nana was with her.




The next morning, Eliana wanted to meet Bradly as soon as she arrived at the company to talk about
Evelynn's project.

However, she was shocked to see that Bradly's office was empty.

Eliana asked his assistant about his whereabouts and found that Maurice had asked him to come to his
office.

As soon as she heard that, she felt her heart clench.

Since she and Evelynn had parted on bad terms the night before, it was very likely that the project was
now ruined.

Maurice had told her that if she did not do the pink diamond project well, then Bradly would not be
allowed to work in the Moran Group.

Was Maurice really going to fire him? Thinking of that, Eliana rushed to the top floor.

The moment the elevator door opened, Eliana stumbled out, only to bump into someone's firm yet
warm body.

Maurice held her and asked, "Why are you in such a hurry?"

"Mr.Moran! If you are so persistent about firing someone, then just fire me! Don't fire Bradly! He’s done
everything he could to help me with the design!" she protested anxiously.

Upon hearing that, veins popped on his forehead and anger rose within his heart like a tide.

"So you're really willing to get fired in his place?"

"Yes!" Eliana answered without hesitation.



The project that she was working on should not have involved anyone else.

Bradly had already gotten injured in the process of helping her, and clearly, Maurice was making things
harder for him.She could not bring herself to let Bradly suffer because of her again.

"Eliana."

Bradly's voice came from behind.He then walked up to her, held her wrist, and pulled her away from
Maurice.

"Don't worry.Mr.Moran didn't fire me."

Stunned, Eliana asked, "Really? Then why has he asked you to come to his office?"

"Mr.Moran has canceled Miss Jarvis’ project, so you don't have to worry about it anymore," Bradly
explained in a low and gentle voice.

Eliana looked at Maurice in disbelief, only to find him glaring at Bradly's hand that was holding her
wrist.

Seeing that, she pulled her hand away in a hurry.Maurice's deep gaze fell on her.

"After Evelynn's project was canceled, I showed your design to some of our other clients.And Nicole
Swift wants your design.She is going to wear the necklace to a film festival."

Hearing the sudden news, Eliana was astonished.

"Nicole Swift? The popular actress?"

"Yes.Congratulations, Eliana.You deserve it,’ Bradly praised with appreciation in his eyes.Eliana was
surprised and pleased to hear that.After all, it was the first design that she had created since she joined



the Moran group.

Although she had to go through a lot during the process, she was more than delighted to know that her
design would make an appearance at the film festival.

‘What a pleasant surprise! Although...She suddenly realized something.

Eliana seemed to have wrongly accused Maurice.She turned back and saw him walking into the
elevator.
