Chapter 415 - 415 Armor Sealing
415 Armor Sealing
With the blueprint completed, Wu Mo prepared to start forging.
However, he no longer had plans to forge with a hammer. He planned to use the modern equipment he had obtained previously to forge.
That way, not only would it save time, but it would also grant him more accuracy than forging the armor on his own. He only needed to hammer the device with the lightning hammer one last time to sort out the energy conductivity inside the device.
However, the most difficult part was to engrave an array on the inside of the armor.
It was not something that he could casually condense out of air and shoot in from afar.
This method was feasible, but Wu Mo’s cultivation was not advanced enough. His insufficient strength was the main issue!
He wanted to casually forge equipment, but in reality, he was greatly limited by his strength. He had no choice but to bend down and carve protection arrays on each piece. Then, he used his own energy to drag and activate the arrays. He absorbed some spirit energy to refine them and finally condensed a Transcendent Core.
Once all of this was completed, there was the last step, which was sealing.
Sealing was similar to hiding and protecting the array’s core on the equipment.
If the array’s core was intentionally or accidentally hit in combat, it would break. As such, the equipment would instantly lose its effectiveness.
In case of damage, he had to make sure that the undamaged parts of the armor could still operate without issue. It would be a different story if the entire armor was deformed or physically torn apart.
Therefore, although the sealing process looked simple, it was actually a test of skill.
In today’s world, there was sealing technology as well, but the technique involved was simpler and more crude. First, a layer of isolation material would brushed over the core, and then it would be covered with another a layer of similar material. These layers acted as a wall that protected the Transcendent Core below.
However, Wu Mo did not want to use this method. Instead, he used a special sealing liquid formula provided by the Divine Blacksmith System. He prepared a large bucket of sealing liquid and immersed the armor in it, piece by piece.
Each piece was immersed for about 10 minutes. By the time the pieces were taken out, the silver armor had turned into a palm-sized black wrist guard.
That’s right, he was not mistaken. The silvery-white armor that could cover his upper body had completely transformed into a black wrist guard after it was soaked in the sealing liquid for more than 10 minutes.
This was because the pieces of armor had been engraved with a transformation array, and the sealing liquid had directly changed the color of their surface. Now, the whole thing looked very inconspicuous.
Wu Mo picked up the black wrist guard and put it on. Then, he circulated the energy in his body and instantly injected it into the wrist guard. Immediately after, the wrist guard lit up slightly as it carried traces of weak lightning, which spread throughout his entire body.
It was emitting lightning because of Wu Mo’s energy attribute. If his attribute had been something else, it would naturally appear as another type of energy.
Wu Mo reached out to touch the cold and somewhat elastic armor on his body and nodded in satisfaction.
It did not matter whether he wanted to test the armor or not; there was simply not enough time.
It had been four days since he had started forging, and time was almost up.
Nevertheless, he believed in his skills and the Divine Forging Space’s test results.
In fact, he had some other ideas to make the armor more mystical. Although its had good effects, he was still a little dissatisfied.
Unfortunately, it was time, and he could already hear someone knocking on his door.
After all, he had to go to the bank with Chu Qingyan today to buy three seven-star Crystal Cores and store them. As such, he had to wake up earlier than usual.
He stored the armor in his Interspatial Ring and examined Frost Star, the combat sword, and the combat boots on his feet. Then, he left the Divine Forging Space in a flash.
Knock knock knock…
“Wu Mo, are you up? Time to go! Chu Qingyan’s here!” Xu Wanqing’s voice rang outside the room.
“I’m coming, I’m coming!” Wu Mo hurriedly replied.
He quickly washed his face, changed his clothes, and pushed the door open.
“Every time I call you, you dawdle. You take more time getting ready than a woman!” Xu Wanqing said with some resentment.
“So what? What’s wrong with letting Chu Qingyan wait?” Wu Mo laughed. It’s not like I insisted on this bet or battle. If he wasn’t willing to wait, he would have left long ago. If he insists on waiting, he won’t leave even if you chase him away!”
“Alright, alright. We still have to go back to the conference after we’re done at the bank. There’s not much time left.”
Xu Wanqing did not continue to argue with Wu Mo. In her opinion, this was just an idle matter. What was the point of competing? They were not warriors, so there was no need for it at all.
Thinking of this, she quickly asked, “Why are you competing with Chu Qingyan? If you want to see whose forging is better, you can compete in the exchange conference. Are you really going to engage in combat? You’re all blacksmiths, so isn’t it a little unprofessional for you to fight?”
Wu Mo shrugged. “I don’t know how to compete with him. Otherwise, why would I have told him that I didn’t want to compete yesterday?! It’s just that his offer is too attractive. Otherwise, I definitely wouldn’t have given him this chance.”
“Why do I feel like you never intended to refuse?” Gan Yun chuckled. “You can’t really be attracted by his offer, right?”
“Do you know how annoying it is to have someone obsess over you after you become enemies?” Wu Mo shook his head. “Since there’s a chance to settle this once and for all, I naturally won’t reject it. It would be even better if I could earn some money along the way.”
Hearing Wu Mo’s explanation, Gan Yun, Liu Ze, and Chen Qingbai nodded.
They had already sensed that Wu Mo’s rejection was not very firm yesterday. After they went back, they even discussed it while they chatted. Now, it seemed that it was true.
Guan Hu led a few warriors to the side. He did not say anything and only paid attention to the situation nearby.
Wu Mo patted him on the arm and handed him the black wrist guard. “I just forged this. Try it on. Don’t worry, it’s free!”
Guan Hu was momentarily stunned. However, something occurred to him, and his eyes narrowed slightly. Without saying anything, he took the wrist guard and put it on.
“What’s going on?” Xu Wanqing asked. Is this something you forged in the past?”
Something felt off to her, but she could not tell what exactly.
“Don’t attend my duel with Chu Qingyan after the conference,” Wu Mo solemnly said to Xu Wanqing.
When Xu Wanqing, Gan Yun, and the others heard this, their expressions changed slightly. Something was wrong.
“What’s happening? If you don’t give us a clear explanation, we won’t agree to your request!” Xu Wanqing said with her beautiful eyes wide open.
“That’s right! We all came together. If something happens, we’ll deal with it together. How can we let you face it alone?!”
