Spending My Retirement In A Game Chapter 567 Item Storage Interior

Eisen finally got started on making actual storage items for the things he made for inside of his item storage ability. It might be a little bit of a waste to do it like this space-wise, but since the room created by the item storage ability wasn't that small anyway, it wasn't that big a deal. That, and the storage items he could create could be made with spatial gems to potentially increase the storage space beyond what the actual item storage ability could offer.
First things first, Eisen wanted to make some things for material storage. And he would start with the somewhat easiest type of material to 'sort' while storing, the liquid storage. There were still a bunch of barrels for liquid storage downstairs underneath this place that Eisen could make use of.
He deleted all of the enchantments placed onto the barrels and then chose to smelt them down for their materials, which were the most important things, so that he could reshape everything into something that was a better fit. That, and Eisen wanted to add a slightly higher concentration of spatial gems, as well as one more material that would hopefully boost the spatial storage capabilities to oblivion.
Eisen added a small portion of Margon. They were capable of somewhat 'mass producing' it at this point in time. They didn't have that much Maroon to begin with, but at the very least they now had a proper way to infuse it with elemental mana and turn it into Margon without worries. And Komer had been looking into where that one merchant got all the Maroon from in the first place.
He was just a stall merchant, he didn't even have a set store in the merchant town. It didn't seem like he had a store in another town either, which made Komer more than just confused and intrigued, but it also made it harder to look for people that the merchant was trading with, since he was most likely travelling all over the continent constantly.
But in the end, Komer hoped that he would be able to get some clues as to where they could get a steady source of Maroon without relying on mass amounts of money to procure it. Either way, for now, Eisen wanted to make use of a little more of the margon, while obviously saving enough to make at least another dozen core guardians without worry.
Either way, Eisen put a small pebble of the highly-infused margon into the alloy and added it in properly, and then created some thin sheets using this metal alloy. After the alloy properly cooled down, Eisen started enchanting the sheets so that he could turn it into a proper spatial item and have the space inside of the item grow bigger than it actually was.
And after then turning all the sheets into proper barrels, quite small, since they should only be able to hold around 10 Liters if they weren't spatial items, Eisen started using Magic Inscription on them.
In front of him, he saw these numerous small dots floating around, like the ones that he was used to. It was just that they were moving far, far quicker than Eisen remembered them to, which was probably something caused by the Margon inside of the alloy.
Eisen was confident that the 'old', or rather 'former', Eisen also used Magic Inscription on all his items, especially when it came to ones making use of actual materials' special properties like when it came to spatial items, but because Eisen melted all of the barrels down and added another new materials properties to the mix, it probably caused all this disarray.
First things first, Eisen tried to gather all the dots up and create the proper shape of the barrel using them. But while he was doing so, Eisen noticed that adding Margon actually helped an incredible amount, since everything seemed much more stable even when Eisen moved the dots further away from each other than he usually would want to.
And as such, the old man created as large a space inside of the barrels as he was capable of without making the item too dangerous. After all, if he somehow moved the dots too far away from each other without some special method, and then tried to use the spatial item, the extra space inside of the item might just collapse and end up forever swallowing up everything that was inside. It actually happened to Eisen once when he was playing around with magic inscription a bit, although he was kind of hoping for it to happen in that case.
He created another cubic room inside using the spatial gem's dots, but made the room roughly three to four times larger than he would usually do, although he just had the same amount of 'dots' to make use of compared to other times.
When Eisen then opened the space up and filled it with some random things like rocks, it actually created something like an implosion inside of the storage space, and after Eisen tried accessing it again, everything was simply gone. He could still use the spatial gem, just that it would continuosly destroy literally everything placed inside of it. But even that wasn't possible for that much longer, since at some point the spatial gem itself simply shattered into pieces and turned completely crumbly, turning to dust the moment one's finger came in contact with it.
Either way, this stable distance between the dots was increased an incredible amount through the addition of some Margon in the alloy, Eisen was sure that that was what was causing it. Just like this, Eisen finished all of these quite small metal barrels. Eisen added another two pieces of wood against one of the walls so that he could properly stack these barrels up there as well. And then, once he did stack them, Eisen just added some wooden bars that he pushed into the small open spaces created inbetween the round barrels while stacking them, so that Eisen could simply pull whatever barrel out of there without having to worry about the ones above all dropping down and getting damaged.
Once Eisen was done with the liquid storage, Eisen moved onto metal storage. And for that, Eisen once more would make use of spatial gems and a tiny, tiny bit of Margon.
Since there were a lot of different metals in a lot of different quantities that Eisen liked to work with, he would either need a rather large storage room itself to have enough space to actually store them all, or make use of exactly those spatial gems to increase the space some more.
Eisen started off and created 100 different spatial gems that each had a very small amount of margon in it. It was basically miniscule, but Eisen still wanted to make use of any sort of beneficial increase that he could afford.
After he made the gems themselves, Eisen created a 10 by 10 unit shelf, with each unit being 20 cubic centimeters large. The old man then coated the inside of each of these 100 units in the spatial gems and started to change the way they acted using magic inscription.
Each of those spatial gems was the 'room' type that Eisen had already made use of before, so that he could make order of all the items and basically increase the volume of what could be stored inside of the spatial gems anyway, before starting to enchant the inside of the small units to turn them into proper spatial items.
Just by stretching his hand into the units, the 'spatial rift' would open and would let Eisen access the actual space beyond it, so that was good already. Eisen would now be able to potentially store 100 different materials in a sorted manner.
But with this way of doing it, Eisen would either need to remember the position of everything perfectly, or go through all of the different small storage units to check what was inside there. Since that seemed a bit too time-consuming, the old man thought of something else. Eisen took some mana crystals and enchanted them all with his 'Visualization' ability, before using them to create 20 by 20 centimeter 'square rings' that he then placed on the wood surrounding each of the small storage units. Eisen enchanted them for efficiency and then used magic inscription to do the rest.
This mana crystal would take information from the spatial gem about what was inside of the actual spatial gem, and then would use visualization to make it appear as if whatever type of material was inside of the subspace was actually inside of the small shelf unit in the form of an ingot. If there was nothing inside the gem, nothing would be shown. Either way, Eisen would be able to instantly see which unit had which material.
Happy with what he made here, Eisen started actually sorting his metallic materials into this already, and was more than just satisfied when he saw that everything was working properly. This already cleared up so, so much space inside of the item storage to store other things. After all, the metallic materials that took up about a third to, at times, half of the item storage space, would now only occupy a 2 meter by 2 meter by 20 centimeter space no matter the amount of metal Eisen had with him. Well, there was of course a limit to the amount that could be stored inside of this shelf, but Eisen had a lot of other ways to store his materials as well, so it wouldn't be an issue either way. The materials Eisen stored inside of the material storage ability were mostly just for emergencies or when Eisen was out on the go without anyone else around. If he was with Sigurd and Fafnir, for example, he wouldn't really need the materials from the item storage all that much. He would just need to be near Sigurd, or maybe even inside of the dungeon, and he could be given any and all materials that he needed instantly, because Sigurd was a rather proficient assistant by now when it came to that.
Either way, then came the next material storage parts. And really, they weren't all too different to what Eisen made for the metals, just a bit more fitted depending on the material type. He made the 'rooms' inside of the spatial gems deeper, but thinner for wood, because a lot of his wood materials were planks that simply wouldn't fit inside of that normal cubic room. But otherwise, it was realy mostly the same for all of the materials. And luckily, by now, Eisen only took up a third of the space on the walls in this item storage room.
With a satisfied expression, Eisen then got started on the parts meant to actually store some items instead of just materials.
