Chapter 1022: Anti-Robbery
“That’s true…” Mr Cockeye looked at the clothes of Ling Chuxi and the others. He hesitated for a moment before saying, “Then you can leave, but without the carriage.”
“So, you came here just to rob a few carriages?” asked Ling Chuxi disdainfully.
“No matter how small a mosquito is, it’s still meat! You don’t know how expensive it is unless you’ve actually obtained it,” said Mr Cockeye earnestly. His brows started to hurt.
Lan Xinyu was originally highly focused, but when she heard this, she couldn’t help but laugh out loud. Looking at the way these people dressed, it seemed that it hadn’t been easy for him to be the boss.
Ling Chuxi also laughed. This line seemed a little familiar. She remembered experiencing the same scene during the trial at White Stone Academy. Now that she thought about it, she felt an unusual sense of nostalgia.
“Boss… boss, don’t… don’t talk nonsense with… them. I…will do it!” A young man next to Mr Cockeye stammered.
Sigh, what kind of bandits are these? Not to mention poor, they are all crooked and weak. This one is even stuttering. There isn’t a normal one. Even Ling Chuxi sighed for them.
“Right, no… I’m not going to talk to you anymore. Leave… leave the carriage… and get lost!” Mr Cockeye stuttered when he was interrupted.
“Boss, you’re… copying me.” He stuttered as he looked at Mr Cockeye.
“I… I… didn’t learn from you.” Mr Cockeye retorted. It would be better if he didn’t explain since doing so only made him stammer more.
Lan Xinyu and the others couldn’t help but hold their stomachs and burst into laughter when they heard their conversation. Tears were about to come out of their eyes.
“What are you laughing at? What are you laughing at?! Shut up!” Mr Cockeye shouted angrily.
“Xinyu, some people want to rob us. What should we do?” asked Ling Chuxi with a smile.
“Well, of course, we should beat them until their mother can’t recognize them.” Lan Xinyu straightened her back and shook her golden whip.
“Wouldn’t that be too easy for them? Since they want to rob us, we should return the favour and rob them back,” said Ling Chuxi seriously.
“Not bad, not bad. That’s a good idea.” Lan Xinyu was stunned as she nodded repeatedly. This was Ling Chuxi’s style. Although she was shameless, she liked it.
Beside them, Ling Yichen let out a long sigh and silently mourned for Mr Cockeye. Who’s the one that’s supposed to be good at robbery? Wasn’t Ling Chuxi just putting the blame on them?
“Do it. You don’t have to hold back in front of me.” Ling Chuxi was too lazy to waste any more time with them. She had been toying with them for too long.
Lan Xinyu had been waiting for this moment for a long time. She stretched out her golden whip and rushed forward. Su Yanhua and the others were unwilling to be left behind. They drew their swords and charged forward. This was their first battle at the Sacred Realm of the Sects. Everyone’s faces were filled with excitement. After cultivating for so long, they finally had a chance to battle.
Mr Cockeye and his gang were stunned when they heard Ling Chuxi’s words and the others’ sudden movements. They finally were just understanding that Ling Chuxi had been teasing them.
“Move!” With Mr Cockeye’s loud shout, his people also drew their blades and charged forward to meet the oncoming attack. Mr Cockeye may not be very smart or intimidating, but his experience at Qianzhong Ridge had made him quite a ruthless person.
The moment they made their move, a black shadow flashed past like a violent blade. In an instant, a strong battle intent, domineering and ruthless, blotted out the sky and covered the earth.
Even with Lan Xinyu and the others’ current cultivation levels, they still felt the heavy pressure and started to have difficulty breathing.
