Chapter 307 (Self Edited) – Smile and Magic
Even after the atmosphere turned a bit strange, it was lunch after chatting a while, and when they were done, the lesson resumed. Aina looked over the room that she came back to, and then, she let out a breath of relief because no one was dragging the atmosphere.
There was slight tension and eagerness. The feelings were all mixed up. Aina thought that the atmosphere was similar to that of the Academy. Well, it might be natural.
It didn’t matter where or who she was learning something from. The other side was giving lessons seriously, and her side asked for it earnestly. Since the things to do were the same, it was natural to feel that the atmosphere felt similar.
When she was thinking about it, her eyes met Soma’s eyes. She didn’t know whether it was coincidence or it was because she felt his gazes, but the fact that their eyes were interlocked was true.
“…” (Aina)
At that moment, Aina turned away. There was nothing else.
By the way, she suddenly remembered that she was wearing different clothes today. Then, she suddenly became embarrassed.
Speaking of that, Aina was wearing a maid outfit. She said she would do the job as a waiter since she felt that the treatment for her as an envoy was too much. However, the Holy City didn’t intend to ask her to do so from the beginning.
Even so, Soma and Hildegard also understood it. Aina might have noticed that fact if she was calmed, but it was a meaningless assumption as long as she didn’t notice it.
She was the only one who didn’t notice it. That was what she thought about the outfit. She felt so tiny that she could disappear in one hit, but… the one who said that would be no one but her. Aina decided to stick on her conviction, thinking that if the outfit was something given to her, she would just keep wearing them.
Although she wore it and felt a bit uncomfortable, it was true that she was wearing something the she didn’t usually wear. There were no problems with the movement. In fact, it was an outfit where she could move easily.
She didn’t know the reason why this outfit should be called the outfit for a waiter. Did Satya create it? On the other hand, it was true that she didn’t suffer in a sense, so it was one of the benefits of wearing it. If it was difficult to move in it, Aina would have given up wearing it.
The rest was the feelings of uncomfortableness and unfamiliarity, but that didn’t mean that she didn’t like the outfit. It would be different if she had to wear it when she didn’t like the outfit.
Besides, well… even if Soma praised her, it felt irrelevant.
She slightly adjusted her outfit, and when she raised her face, she met Satya’s eyes this time. Immediately after that, she curved her mouth lips because she saw ‘her’ brimming smile.
She was seen, and was understood. Once Aina realized that, her cheeks reddened.
Then, she let out a breath to rearrange her mind. It wasn’t time to think about it, and it was the time for the lesson to be held. Both Soma and Hildegard were looking at Satya with a serious expression, so she couldn’t help herself as a newcomer.
Once she focused her mind and turned her gaze again, Satya smiled and opened mouth as if ‘she’ was satisfied.
“Now, let’s continue learning.” (Satya)
“So, what are you going to do? You’ve already talked about the blank period anyway.” (Hildegard)
“The last part is just a side story.” (Soma)
They weren’t lenient or holding back toward Satya. Aina certainly felt that she already got used to Satya, but she couldn’t act like those two. She couldn’t say if she could be like them once she got used to ‘her’.
“Again, you’re harsh. But… you’re right. If that’s the case, you guys choose the topic.” (Satya)
“Choose… Do you mean the topic of the lesson?” (Aina)
“Yes, of course.” (Satya)
“No. Why don’t you think about the topic?” (Hildegard)
“Well, to be honest, I got nothing. I’ve given you all the information you need to know at this point.” (Satya)
“Hmm? I would like to ask what you mean by that, but I wonder if you can’t answer it.” (Soma)
“That’s not true, you know? It means as it is.” (Satya)
“Well, I can see that you give lessons, but you’re not answering.” (Hildegard)
“You got me, huh? Well, do you really want to know something? If yes, I can tell you anything. If only, I can tell you.” (Satya)
While saying so, Satya looked at Aina and Hildegard alternately, but to be honest, she would feel troubles if she was told the same thing.
If she was asked to say something, she couldn’t think of it. At least, Aina wasn’t here because she really wanted to learn something concrete.
Rather, it would be better if ‘she’ looked at Soma. She had no doubt about the person himself. It wasn’t that she didn’t notice Satya’s intention.
By the way, she had no doubt about it since Satya intentionally did not look at Soma even though he had been raising her arm for a long time. His arm, that seemed to be extending through the ceiling, indicated his strong will, and the moment Aina saw that, she knew. She knew that if Satya looked at him, his mouth would surely open.
And she could predict what he would ask. After all, there was one thing Soma wanted.
“I have nothing to ask for the time being. To begin with, I don’t even know things that I don’t know.” (Aina)
“I see… I suppose it’s hard for Aina-chan. How about you, Hildegard? I can only depend on you, right?” (Satya)
“Well, if it’s not too much, why don’t you tell us about magic?” (Hildegard)
The moment Hildegard said that, there was a sound of a chair next to Aina moving. Satya was somehow annoyed, but when she turned her gaze to Soma, he stood up and stared back at ‘her’.
The delight and anticipation were clearly on his face, as if he was looking forward to it.
“…That’s unusual.” (Aina)
“Hmm? Did you say something?” (Soma)
“It’s just a monologue. More importantly, you look extremely delightful, don’t you?” (Aina)
“Of course I am. That’s because I can ask about magic from God. No one is more suitable for gathering information to fulfill my wish.” (Soma)
“Well, that’s certainly true.” (Aina)
While nodding, Aina’s eyes were still looking facing Soma’s face. She murmured ‘that’s unusual’ again.
It wasn’t unusual for Soma to smile. However, that smile usually appeared on the mouth and eyes. Although Aina could tell that he was smiling, he didn’t have to smile with the entire face.
Yes, Soma was smiling all over his face. That was why it seemed unusual.
Then, Aina suddenly noticed something else. Soma was definitely growing in many aspects compared to the past.
Of course, that included the face and height. It was probably a bit early to call him of adult, but he definitely became one gradually.
However, at the same time, Soma was fifteen years old. Even if he was recognized and welcomed as an adult, it would take time to say that he was an adult due to the age. Aina wouldn’t think about it when she looked at the usual Soma, but currently, his smile was appropriate for his age, and at the same time, she realized that Soma was still old enough to be called a youth.
That didn’t mean her thoughts were wrong. It was just that one thing she thought about. She didn’t have other intentions though… Instead of seeing him showing the face of thinking hard or being depressed, she thought that it was natural to see him smile.
“Well, it’s fine. So, is it about magic? As a person who uses magic, I’m curious what kind of story that I could hear.” (Aina)
“Aina…!” (Soma)
“Yes, yes. I got it. So, please sit down calmly. If you stay that way, you will miss the lesson when I start telling it, alright?” (Satya)
“Hmm… certainly, that’s true.” (Soma)
Soma was apparently convinced. He sat down, but his gaze was turned toward Satya and kept at it. Then, Satya, who seemed to finally think about it, shrugged and sighed.
“Hmm, I want to talk about magic later if possible.” (Satya)
“Hmm? Why is that?” (Soma)
“I think it’s not necessary these days and there are so many things to talk about because magic is related to various things.” (Satya)
“Hoo… so there are many things to talk about, is it?” (Soma)
“Well, if it’s you, it will make you interested. However, I don’t think I’m capable of talking most of it. Since it’s not the main topic of the day, I’m someone who isn’t authorized to say it.” (Satya)
“Authorized? Why do you have to be authorized in order to say it? Aren’t you God?” (Hildegard)
“That’s because this is the matter of magic. So, there’s a bit of an exception there.” (Satya)
“Hmm… well, I think it’s possible to save the fun more than once. At least, I’m fine with that.” (Soma)
“You are surprisingly positive, aren’t you? Well, if you’re fine with it, I can talk as much as I can.” (Satya)
As Satya said that, ‘she’ looked around to display the importance of the topic. Then, ‘she’ opened ‘her’ mouth.
“To cut the story short, magic wasn’t actually created by me.” (Satya)
‘She’ said such a line.
